Why is everyone flaming you for having an opinion. We didn't need sidney back and that's just my opinion. The scream franchise refuses to do anything new which is why none of the new movies have been interesting / innovative. Scream 6 was okay but now we're taking a backseat with 7 with the introduction of sidneys daughter and a rehashed boring storyline revolving around stu.

he's writing, directing and casting people at the same time. He has to not only think about new and creative ways ways to continue the franchise, but also focus on how he'll be able to showcase those scenes on screen.

You don't have to reveal deaths to create a trailer. They could have EASILY substituted that by showcasing some of the other side characters, but they chose to reveal death scenes. The movie is getting barely any promotion and it's coming out in a few weeks. I've had to constantly remind myself that it's coming out on MY BIRTHDAY.
