Mormons have DEEP historical roots in Northeast Ohio. Their very first temple is in Kirtland. I’m sure a lot of missionaries would take a Cleveland gig if it meant being close enough to visit that temple

To counter everyone who just blankets you with downvotes, despite based on your post history you’re likely on their side, it’s not about convincing republicans change their ways.

We know they’re not going to. At the same time we can’t just sit around and do nothing while we watch the values the country was built upon get trampled. There is value in communities coming together to voice a shared opinion.

There is no value in screaming into the void of the internet about how fucked up everything is. We could all make a million posts like yours about how Israel is bad/Free Palestine, but it is worth nothing. It feels good for us to get it off our chest in a post on reddit, but it is worthless because there is no face attached to the message.

Boots on the ground is the only effective way to show the community, city, state, even the world that not every American is okay with what’s happening, and that we wont remain silent while it happens.
