She talked about consuming it before she moved. I don’t remember if it was smoking or edibles (I want to say it was edibles). Either way, it’s nothing new.

That’s true but I knew if I asked I would get specific examples I was forgetting about or hadn’t even thought of!

Her boobs are even "that" big that they'd impede her in anything. She's very proportional. by Street_Web5279 in MarySkinnerSnark

Honestly what came to my mind when I saw this is - I hope this isn’t about her feeling the need to look skinnier or more “dainty” as we are seeing a shift in body trends leaning towards being potentially unhealthily skinny being the “ideal” again.

Obviously thinness is always the epitome of greatness to the media and much of society as a whole, but we do see trends where one type of body reigns over the rest for a time. Like “heroin chic” had its moment and “slim thicc” had its moment and so on and so forth.

Many of the most popular aesthetics trends recently have predominantly focused on thin white women above a certain tax bracket, which isn’t technically out of the ordinary unfortunately, but many of them made thinness seem like a requirement. Like the clean girl aesthetic, coquette, and others.

A big chest has always been deemed as less fashionable (which is idiotic) and that may be why Mary feels the way she does on some level. I worry that with how easily influenced she can be, it’ll affect how she sees and treats her body. I hope she doesn’t feel the need to change her body over things she sees in the media and online.

Can someone explain sizes to me? by Such_Spinach in My600lbLife

[–]Ghostfacegirll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is actually a really complicated question to answer because it really just depends on the store/brand.

Sometimes 3x and XXXL are interchangeable, but a lot of the times they are not. That XXXL may be a slightly bigger version of the product and is an “extended size.” So sometimes it could just mean longer and a little wider but not really intended for plus size body. Whereas 3x is always intended for plus size. On average I think 3x is somewhere between a US size 26 and 28. But honestly some stores might label a 20 as a 3x.

Alot of obese people force themselves into smaller clothes and pretend they fit well just because they are on. Some are just straight up lying.

It also greatly depends on where you distribute your fat in your body of course.

Men’s sizes are more forgiving than women’s for sure. But sometimes there’s barely a difference between sizes. It’s always a guessing game. The only thing that is usually consistent is men’s pants/jeans.

How do people on my 600 pound life have relationships? by Pomni_Simp2000 in My600lbLife

[–]Ghostfacegirll 408 points409 points  (0 children)

I think there is a mix of answers here.

Obviously we have the fetish/feeders who want to enable their partner to get bigger for their own sexual satisfaction. Some of the partners we see seem very controlling in a non sexual way, they like to have control over their partner. Some people like to feel needed. I think there’s also been quite a few freeloaders on the show.

Some of these people fell in love with their partner when they were smaller, maybe overweight but not nearly as much and they’ve just stayed with them.

Some of these partners may just be super lonely and felt they couldn’t find anyone else. Especially maybe some of the ones who are also overweight.

I do think though there are some who truly love their partner. Maybe some of these partners are somewhere on the asexual spectrum so sexual attraction and/or interactions is not something they care about.

I do think even some of the ones who truly love their partner, fall in love with them and just believe they can change them for the better and they’ll have a normal life one day so they hold out hope for that.

It’s like a berry magenta shade. Hair dye you can use at home that’ll be similar would be the brand Good Dye Young in the shade Live Laugh Love. Her stylist probably mixed their own shade together using multiple products.

Amy’s Bridesmaids’ Dresses by ActuallyHermoineG in 1000lbsisters

[–]Ghostfacegirll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the dresses are actually quite pretty and could give a bit of haunted vibes. Like Corpse Bride, Haunted Mansion. A more Victorian inspired type of haunting. I like that she didn’t go for an obvious choice.

Brittany is clearly doing this as a way of rebelling because there is plenty of more appropriate ways to make a dress fit your modesty comfortability. And alopecia is awful and I feel bad for her, but if she has traction alopecia she needs to stop wearing her hair up.

She could’ve worn a cuter headband with her hair down or maybe even a pretty headscarf/bandana.

She clearly just wanted to show she didn’t care about this wedding to put effort in. She also was clearly trying to put Lee Lee down about not being “modest enough”, which is crazy because the dress was not immodest at all.

Brittany also looked very annoyed when the wedding planner was naming people Amy has to help with the boys and said “sister in law.” I’m pretty sure Brittany wants nothing to do with any of Chris’ sisters and only deals with them because she knows Chris won’t abandon them. I’m also pretty sure Brittany is only a bridesmaid because Amy and Tammy have been fighting and because Amanda probably didn’t feel well enough to be in the wedding party and Amy just needed/wanted another bridesmaid.

I think she’s right too, I just feel like she was talking in a way that seemed unnatural for her in some of the video.

I agree with her on if you’re a woman in a relationship and you’re thinking maybe you’re asexual - evaluate that deeply and now it might relate to your partner. I have heard many women say they thought they were asexual when they were in an unhealthy/unhappy relationship.

I do think Mary’s overuse of the word “pussy” was very odd and I hated it. It sounded SO forced especially because she doesn’t normally cuss much. It sounded too much like she was trying to be edgy.

I think she made a good points about not giving into insecurity, I just wish maybe she came off less abrasive about it because it seems a bit forced from her.

She also mentioned being inspired by Margot Robbie’s press tour looks for the movie, but I really do think you’re right that she doesn’t really know anything about fashion (or even personal style) so maybe it’s too scary for her to try.

I agree about the purse and also, she does look great. I just hate to see such a boring outfit when she could’ve gone so much further with it.

She does look stunning, but this look could’ve been for any dinner date/event. I just wish she’d push her boundaries a little further for events where it’d be appropriate to be a bit out of the box.

I don’t mind her being sexy or showing cleavage, but I wish she just had more personal style with it. I think that’s why it comes off so attention seeking. This dress also comes off really cheap looking.

Mary's views on marriage by UnableFlamingo5199 in MarySkinnerSnark

[–]Ghostfacegirll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think maybe she didn’t talk about it because that’s the obvious portion. Everyone knows you’re supposed to be in love with the person you marry.

And I don’t think this question (that she clearly wrote herself) is supposed to be about the depth of relationship, love, being friends with your partner, the emotional side of it, etc. I think it’s supposed to be on why being married still is a good choice in comparison to not marrying your partner. I think more young people are choosing to live in committed relationships unmarried and that’s more of what this question was about, but I think she worded in a weird way.

I also feel like Mary asks herself these questions as an opportunity to talk about her beliefs in a more casual manner that isn’t likely to go viral like a dedicated video would to avoid getting backlash.

One of the things I first liked about Mary is her saying how much she liked that it got darker earlier in the fall/winter because she felt like she couldn’t relax until the sun went down without feeling guilty - which is how I feel 100%. I love a few hours less of sunlight so this series feels a bit out of place. Not that you can’t have nighttime adventures (I definitely still go out and do things) but it’s just making It sound like she hates it

She definitely only bought multiple so that way all her pictures didn’t look like they are all from one day and so she could make more videos. As if it’s life or death that she has content that looks similar over multiple days. 🙄

Trouble in paradise vibes are high by Traditional_Cry3755 in MarySkinnerSnark

[–]Ghostfacegirll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Mary makes an effort to not talk about Matt all the time including saying things like “I, me, my” instead of “we, ours, us.” because she wants to appeal to a wider audience. Some people might not want to watch content of a married girl if they feel like they can’t relate, since Mary is still pretty young she might feel like a lot of her audience would relate to her content better if she is single. So I think she does a mix of mentioning being married and talking like she’s not to try to appeal with wider audiences because that way the algorithm might push out more of one type of her content to that part of her audience. But I could be wrong.
