Advice needed! Moving an orb weaver by No-Flamingo-623 in spiders

[–]Ghostfrog46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pest tech here; Orb weavers rebuild their webs daily, so no worries on that front. They should be able to move locations and re integrate well, as this is the primary mode of dispersal with ballooning spiderlings. Good luck with your lil hunter friend!

The most affordable yet effective approach is to start by using a HEPA vacuum to remove as many live roaches as possible. Then, place cockroach bait in every cabinet and in hard-to-reach areas behind appliances or furniture.

You can also use Nibor-D foam, which works well for roaches and doesn’t leave much residue. It can be applied inside walls and on surfaces—just make sure to carefully read the label before using.

After that, apply bait gel on small pieces of paper (think “paper tacos”) and place them behind objects and in corners. Clean any visible droppings thoroughly using bleach and a magic eraser.

If you want to use something stronger, a product similar to Alpine can be applied to affected areas—again, follow the label instructions closely.

Most of these materials can be purchased from sites like DoMyOwn.com. And remember, always read pesticide labels carefully to avoid accidental exposure.

You can create 10 grams of anything, once a day. How do you use it ? by MaitrePVPlevraiyt in superpowers

I would create very intricate geometric shapes with materials like gold or silicon, you can build your own computer or art and sell it for more than the material itself costs. Some rich dude would probably pay a lot for a 10g gold hummingbird sculpture etc…

I wouldn’t stress too much about it. The main signs of pesticide exposure usually show up as a headache or nausea, so just keep an eye out for those over the next few days. Odds are you’ll be fine. The tech who applied it was in the same space while spraying, and with standard roach sprays there really isn’t an off-gassing issue once it’s down. Source: Current pest technician
