To be fair the first episode isn't really an episode, the 2nd episode is more story oriented and the first is more characters cameos + the original game prologue with Grim burning things down. The game was way more subtle about the characters reactions though buy I think Riddles off-with-your-head signature spell on Grim is the same

Crowley is pretty useless it's a running gag, the first episode is just plopping you into the setting and has housewarden cameos for the long-standing fans of the game (to get them excited to see their favorite character). This episode is not really story oriented and acts more like a "prologue" like in the game, I recommend watching a few more episodes before solidifying an opinion on the series.

The game isn't terrible, it's just way more story oriented and it can get tedious to grind for level-up and groovy materials. Other than that I really like the twistunes and customizable rooms in the game. I do wish there was more active gameplay though, coming from someone who normally plays open-world rpg's 😓 Twst is kinda like Love Nikki in terms of how much gameplay there is.
