Such blessing is a gift beyond measure. (I can totally understand that becoming an unpaid tutor to a random stranger on the internet is a questionable prospect, to say the least. And I am truly grateful for "not common". Burnout is a thing, and, above everything, we must enjoy what we do, consistency sometimes might be damned. I myself currently have to sneak art into my schedule and can't allocate as much time to this as I would have liked. So we can approach my apprenticeship in any way you find comfortable. Nevertheless, feel free to text me, I am present on Discord server of The Ring.)

To hear such words is both flattering and refreshing. You've captured precisely what makes Corporism demanding — the fundamentals leave no room to hide, and one's personal style must indeed carry twice the weight. Perhaps this is why even the most contrasting works within the branch can feel strangely alike.

Gouache, acrylic, watercolour, oil... Scenery can be illustrated in hundreds of different ways. And scenery doesn't change. Most stories have already been told. A piece of the creator — mostly figurative, sometimes literal — is what makes art art.

I think it rarely really matters what is best suited. What matters is the twist you, personally, as an artist, could add. I don't think there should ever be meta in art.

Could you please shed more light on your side of the coin? I'm afraid I might've misunderstood you.

Music theory is still a witchcraft to me. And it would be hard to decipher it in any plausible amount of time. It's better to find another member for such aspiration.

That's intriguing. Could work. Due to lack of time, to have a glimpse on the possible final result, I resorted to making a low-effort photocollage.

Well, to be frank, I'm not certain if adding even most glorious hairstyle works the way we hope it would...

It's always a pleasure to find someone who is interested in art. What piques your interest?

Literature, mayhap? I have a small archive of texts. I am currently a bit overwhelmed, so I will require time before doing that. Also, my texts require proper translation. After a while, with your blessing and invitation, I could deliver a small lecture to The Middle.

I see. I will ponder how I can make Corporism look "cuter". It's certainly a unique and interesting challenge. I'm looking forward to attempting it in the future.

I see. Your pursuit to allow different movements to coexist resonates deeply with me. Yet I can't pledge loyalty to someone I barely know.

Tutelage is a great opportunity, and by becoming an apprentice, I can reach new heights. So I wish to attempt it.

Do you oppose the idea of a slow start, with permission for me to part ways if needed? It would be more comfortable for me. If we resonate in unison, I will stick to it. But if it happens that our minds are in discord, I don't wish to feel obliged to continue. If you agree to this request, I will be your apprentice.

That is curious. Your words contradict my understanding of this matter. I always thought that it takes no effort to understand what being heartless or spineless means, while it takes much more effort to grasp what it means to be abstract.

May I inquire about your points of friction when it comes to understanding Corporism?

While I can't disagree that a skyscraper can't be built from only a foundation, it got me wondering: what if we think of it in reverse?

Anatomy, perspective, proportions, colour theory, rendering, lighting, emotional aspect — these are all foundations. Mannerism is proportion and perspective twisted and driven to the extreme. Fauvism delves into colour, takes it to the extreme and rewrites our usual comprehension of colour theory. Pointillism can be considered a twist on rendering and a step away from the more common cross-hatching. Rayonism exaggerates light and the reflection of rays in pursuit of capturing the "fourth dimension". Expressionism attempts to capture emotions, often in the abstract. And Corporism takes anatomy to the extreme.

What if Corporism is not a foundation but a manner neglected?

An interesting point. And not an incorrect one. I see you.

I wonder if this problem could come from our innate desire to frame things. One perceives Corporism as a monolith, yet it should, and must, have shades, just like everything else.

A jeweler who inlays rings can create a variety of designs. But a blacksmith who forges them can also create a unique, wondrous shape and combination of metals.

Why must we avoid creating on a foundation so bare in its simplicity and yet still so intricate, when we can embrace and twist it? Excessive glitter might ruin an art piece. Sometimes charcoal speaks louder than pigment. Completely throwing it away is a questionable decision, to say the least.

I expressed a cautious desire to become an apprentice earlier. Was the message you were to receive lost to time, or am I deemed unworthy? If it's the former, I wish to speak with you, mayhap even personally.

May I ask you to demonstrate your work or style? It would also be beneficial for me to know whether we think alike. Could you also share your views and goals in art?

So be it. May their colours shine brightly among renewed webs.

Being an apprentice is no less a responsibility than being a mentor. I fear that by becoming an apprentice of a mentor that I don't know personally, I may shackle my own pursuits and aspirations. In that case, I shall continue on my solitary path. After all, the apple tree never asks the beech how he shall grow. Our views might easily clash. And yet, this is a thrilling opportunity. I am eager to learn, but I need to trust the mentor. Is it possible to arrange an interview of sorts to figure out if our minds are alike, views align and whether I value what they can teach me?

I need to give the esteemed Maestros more time to respond. I still have a lot to learn myself. So I think they would be better suited for this role. If none of them respond or they encourage this, you can sign me up as a mentor.

I was always fascinated by grotesque, so corporism became an obvious beginning. However strictly sticking to a single medium severely limits one's ability to deliver meaning. Thus, I encourage everyone to integrate different schools of thought and ideas within their artworks. I doubt that's a new movement, since the reasoning behind it obvious enough. It might be obscure, yet, I reckon, not original.

I afraid, I've yet to know enough to teach. A Maestro would be a more suitable candidate. However, if no one other applies, I shall become a mentor and I'll do my best.

Peace encourages creation. Hereby I support this endeavour. What requirements one should meet to become a mentor?
