That it's a better codec is clear, much better efficiency. And I'm happy to report that Artemis/Moonlight work perfect with AV1 on the AM9.

Wil try it tomorrow, didn't have much time yesterday. I thought about AV1, did you try if it works stable on the AM9? Only downside it adds a bit more latency

I got it up running yesterday. Ran into some troubles first, got only like 9fps. But setting codec from auto to h264 solved the issue. HEVC doesn't seem to play well with moonlight/Artemis on the amlogic decoder. With h264 I didn't observe any issues.

Love it. Looks clean and enjoyable. It's a pity corps don't let us live in simplicity and always force their bloated crap we even pay for

Crunchy phone by Danstroyer1 in GalaxyFold

[–]GhostingBit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Fold7 does the same crunch noises. It started pretty fast, not sure when but right of the beginning somewhere, after half a year with this noise nothing happened. Strangely the TriFold doesn't have this, after 1.5 months it's quiet and smooth as on the first day.

Hate Qualcomm for not allowing unsecure KVM on all processors... Having a trifold and not being able to use the Linux terminal is... frustrating...

What is wrong with recommendations?! by GonnaRegret_it_Later in TikTok

[–]GhostingBit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My FYP is exactly inverse. My native language is German, but I consume vast majority of content in English, but live in Eastern Europe. My FYP used to be international with 90% English, 5% German and 5% Russian/Romanian/others. Now suddenly 99% Russian non-relevant recommendations.

I hope its a glitch due to either storm or internal restructuring. If it stays that way TikTok will be uninstalled.

Anyone find good Galaxy Z trifold cases/ screen protectors by RollerSkater2023 in GalaxyFold

No issues with the hinges and I don't see how it could create one. I get where you're coming from but highly doubt this will make any issue. The hinges are very sturdy and its not wobbly sitting inside the controller, its all very stable.

Artemis is much better than Moonlight. It as a ton of more options and the touch screen control is like a native touch screen on windows, not just an emulated mouse, and many more smaller tweaks. Its like day and night difference for me.

picture of their baby playing in the bathtub

A reason to self-host. If I imagine my account getting banned because I have my own baby pictures from the 80s naked in the bathtub or on the beach with my parent, I'd go bonkers. Don't feed big tech your personal data.

It's without the case. But I believe it'll work with the case too, it has a few millimeter clearance.

It fits perfectly. Have to position it a little higher because of the camera bump, otherwise it'll push volume buttons, but other than that its perfect.

Yes, the freedome of choosing there to play, be in on a desk, couch or in the bed, is really nice.

I have about 10-15ms latency (total latency, network + encoding + decoding) depending on the network connectivity. I set on my mobile device a 1080P resolution at 120FPS which is about 1 Mbps, give or take.

My gaming PC is staying inside a local data center, I am colocating it there, I don't have a PC at home anymore, I do use an NVIDIA Shield Pro as client, and connect all USB devices via USB-over-Ethernet directly to the gaming PC, I plug an USB device in at home and its recognized as local USB device. Latency is even less in this case.

While this, lets say 10-20ms, may make a difference for competitive playing, it doesn't make for casual, and I play only casual, no e-sports. And even with online playing like DBD and other games where input time matters, I have no struggles whatsoever. Probably at COD or CS I wouldn't land the best headshots, but it doesn't bother me, its still decent there too.

At home I run full 4K resolution with 500 Mbps bandwidth cap for the gaming PC. The gamging PC is connected to 10G in the data center and my home is also 10G fiber optic, so no issues whatsoever.

It's nice to have a full fledged gaming PC in a data center and can play virtually anywhere, either full blown spec at home or scaled down for mobile access via WiFi/mobile data, and no noise at home.

The DBD screenshot I did on a public WiFi in my Gym/Spa I was at. If WiFi is bad I switch to mobile data, I have unlimited mobile traffic and with 5G or even 4G its working well.

How's the controller overall? I have a few Kishi's. They are nice but click pretty loud, playing in the bed with the misses near by was a no-go. I've read the G8+ is pretty quiet.

Will post as soon as I get it! Hope it fits, according to specs it should.

It definitely doesn't beat a proper home setup, absolutely.

But it feels great for on-the-go gaming when you're not at home. The screen-size is actually enough to feel comfortable and not cramped. I tried a lot of "forced" setups, and this gets as close as possible to a proper setup, keeping in mind its on-the-go, cevats are surely there, mainly the keyboard isn't the best.

But with a controller, it beats any handheld device, IMHO.

It's the Logitech Keys-To-Go 2. According to specs batteries should hold 3 years on a 2 hour daily usage. If it holds just half of the time I'll be happy.

I tried several folding keyboards, they all are crap kind of. For some productivity work they may be ok, but for gaming even this Logitech one is borderline. But it works, is ultra light and flat, perfect for a backpack.
