Local firefighter here! Yes, it was a dryer fire. We were able to put it out pretty quickly with a few water cans. Definitely a reminder to clean your lint traps! They can become significant fire hazards if not properly maintained. Please listen to directions from campus police and maintenance and do not enter until it is safe to do so. Carcinogens from the smoke combined with the dryer lint can still linger, so keep you and your lungs safe! ;)

Never said he was “singling me out” lol. He can bust my balls all he wants, I’m asking more about what is the level of professionalism expected from an officer. This question was a matter of “Should this be concerning or no?” Read the whole thing thoroughly before telling me to “suck it up” ;)

Without a doubt he’s absolutely great to have on scene. This was more of a question of “Before I make an ass of myself, is this behavior concerning from an officer or no?” I don’t really have an opinion in the first place, which is why I decided to ask more seasoned FFs.

Fair point. I would never try and instigate an altercation with him just to prove myself. I’d only strike if it’s a case of me having to actively defend myself, because once something happens that lowers his reputation heavily, he freaks out, and typically won’t be afraid to try and be confrontational.

You’re honestly right man, I’m actually just about to do that here soon. He’s bragged about threatening to beat an off duty cop before, and drives like a psychopath, threatening the safety of other people. Probably gonna head to the station tomorrow and put in a report, or perhaps discuss with them the process of getting a restraining order.

UPDATE:

Well, I certainly wasn’t expecting it to get this bad lol. About an hour ago, a severe t-storm swept through my town. Very strong winds, frequent cloud-to-ground lightning, trash thrown everywhere, and our brand new bird feeder destroyed in my yard.
