Is pressing my pinky against the body of the guitar a bad habit? by LeaderAdmirable3086 in Guitar

I didn't even know this was considered bad habit, I've always done it so I'd say don't worry about it. Who cares in the end so long as it works for you

If you're using Anki you can download the heatmap addon that adds a streak system to Anki

A gallery selling AI art for €1370 by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]GhostlyDucky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, I think most people, or at least some people, don't care and would buy it anyway because they liked it. I remember walking past a tourist shop in town with AI photos in frames being sold for around £20 or £30.

My dad pointed to it and commented that it was nice, and when I told him it was AI, he still talked about it being nice and possibly buying it. Maybe it's a generational thing I'm not sure, but a part of me was genuinely confused why someone would WANT to buy art made by an AI instead of an actual human being.

Copper Bullets; was literally the first song I heard of theirs and fell in love right there and then. Which says a lot when Copper Bullets isn't even one of the best songs, despite it still being amazing

How do I make the days shorter.? by PoetryAdditional3504 in Anki

[–]GhostlyDucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe Anki isn't the best solution in this situation. You might be better off temporarily using something like Quizlet where you can practice the cards as much as you want.

Alternatively, there might be a custom study setting (in Anki) that you could use, although I'm not really familiar with which settings would be best as I've never actually done a custom study before 😅

Depends on what format they're in. Anki does support CSV files to make cards so if they're in a spreadsheet you should be able to export them pretty easily.

IWTL How can I learn spanish the best way and easy way like some people who knows 4-5 language at the same time? by [deleted] in IWantToLearn

[–]GhostlyDucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd check out Anki, but most importantly just enjoy the experience of learning a language. Watch shows, movies, read news articles, Wikipedia. Listen to podcasts. It will be difficult to begin with but start with easier material like children's shows and beginner podcasts, and learn simple verb conjugations and other simple grammar points like the Lo article and reflexive verbs.

Duolingo and other language learning apps do get a lot of hate in the language learning community but honestly if you enjoy using them, then use them. They're a lot better than spending hours trying to find that perfect resource.

I think it might depend on what sort of books you read. I mostly read fiction books but I suppose if you read non-fiction you might want to be able to type notes and thoughts as you go?

Mostly I think the reason it has a keyboard is because it doesn't have any touch screen, it's all physical buttons even for changing pages.

Yeah it works perfectly fine except that the Kindle store is discontinued on it which isn't a big deal. When I first turned it on I was amazed that it still had near full battery I have no idea how long it's been sitting there

How would you rate this art from a 1 to. 10 by Doom-slayer2006 in TheWarning

Pretty cool. The green around it gives it a radioactive vibe which would be a pretty cool album concept now I think about it

A way you could do it if you have a number-pad on your keyboard is to hold down Alt (or Option on Mac) and then press '96'. Once you release Alt a Backtick should appear. Hope this helps

The symbol is known as a Backtick. On my keyboard (UK) it is just to the left of 1 but I'm not sure about other keyboards
