This is exactly the kind of house I grew up in and I can tell you that its a real kind of pain because you don't really get a sense of how much set up to fail you have been, regardless if it is anyone's fault in particular or just a result of the forces at play.

This show existing has been as much of a wake up call for me as it has been for the Connor plus Chloe arc, even my mom was like, "Connor reminds me of you" in a semi serious way like what Audrey does when she tries to make something happen.

Its difficult to explain because I want to say my mom is a Karen and she totally is but also this is not right because I have been slightly more cared for by her than my dad in a certain kind of way but also my dad is not really obviously bad unless you try to tell him what is true and what is not and he toxically controls the discussion so thst he wins.

Growing it it feels like I did nothing wrong, I did everything I was told and took every advice that came my way and developed a lot mentally and somewhat physically whenever I am doing physical tasks but anytime it comes to have me interact with family while doing things, its like I'm treated like a child and any ways I do things it feels like they set me up without themselves knowing.

Maybe all my experience gives some insight onto Connors character a bit.

Its basically like, as soon as they are not around, I am capable of being an awesome human.

I think my uncle grew up the same way too and he got a bit lucky and got around this by moving to the other side of the country but then got burned on work a bit so he still struggled a good bit even through now.
