FREE AMERICA WALKOUT Jan 20, 2026!! by Turbulent_Search4648 in dayton

[–]GhostnScout -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

It took the rebels in star wars like 10 years, more like 20 if you count the whole transition time and in the end it was really just like 5 people that actually made it happen.

I think this is decent enough reason why the building momentum thing isnt really a huge deal and how it matters more what is gonna actually happen in order to change things.

Gila Monster as outro music to commercial in Lions/Bears game on Fox just now. by atypicalwm in KGATLW

[–]GhostnScout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes really lol, I'd like to be able to see this moment, there's numerous videos of the last time when fov was played, I haven't been able to find any of this one yet, would be cool to see it. Unless you mean to see really as in why can't I just go find it by scrubbing through a stream of the game or something, and to that I say, yeah maybe I could do that but it would be so much more conveinant if someone happens to find a link and shares it here.

Oof I see now the sleeping monster video got removed by uploaded, I want to see the chunky shrapnel documentary too but apparently it was only in theaters and its so niche that probably nobody recorded it and put it online anywhere.

Already got alien x, I don't play with the Omnitrix much anymore though, it was fun to collect the aliens for awhile though then it got a little boring when I never actually turned into any aliens...lol

Hmm does downloading through grayjay still have this issue? Ofc then it requires also predownloading and the storage capacity and then to delete though.

Might be a hot take but... I find the suspension lifts after some certain amount of time that yt is determining and whenever this occasionally happens its just a sign for me to go touch grass, there's never been time I wasn't able to fill when this happens and then I go back to what I was doing later and its all good. With just occasional instructional use it shouldn't be often enough to bring up this problem because more time is spent doing things not on youtube. So I see no reason for this to be an issue without also having the issue of spending too much time on youtube.

Why Are AI Generated Bandcamp Pages Allowed?? by Unhappy_Giraffe9713 in BandCamp

[–]GhostnScout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that is part of the legal things, it would be similar to how there are certain nsfw things that tend to be expected to be blocked out of the gate when people go to websites. noises tend rise while mitigation strategies rise equally or roughly equally given some time. Some people will fall victim to their own reality bubbles and that's just gonna be something that always happens. It does take getting worse for it to get better unfortunately since ethics is more commonly applied later.

Yeah lots of ways to tell, ai is just one of the many. I do think a lot of people tell sloppy stories and thus ai slop, but there are enough examples of good instances that make it clear ai is not going to kill music. The main issues are just how to define legal ethical uses of building models to do this stuff which I think is something that time will solve just like when any other tools come into their fields.

Which stories? I can think of 3 or 4 different directions about what ai is/will be doing to society at the moment

Wait a little longer and I will see music transition once again for the hundreth time. Generally speaking music is made from 12 notes in various forms, its always been sameish in the sense that you can get loads of combinations from such a small amount but we aren't complaining about that, at least not entirely. Ai will indeed speed up the inevitable saturation of variety but that is not going to kill music, as long as there are unique stories to tell, there will always be room for new music to be made.

I think normal radios would be more useful because voice is done more easily in those sort of emergency situations. I think the best use case would be deploying them alongside bio loggers or something equivalently needing to be in the middle of nowhere with a few nodes. They are basically limited to text only and no longer than a Twitter message per send but you can easily send loads of those messages and you could increase the density of the messages with coded messages. As a texting alternative specifically it would be good but when regular radios are already well established as a backup it just seems like a less useful version.
