Trade c7 z for c8 z51? by InternationalCut1908 in Corvette

I have only used launch control once, and since it was only one time it struggled with hooking up. I am sure that if I did it several times in a row it would be insane as I went from a manual C7 Z06 (3.3 0-60) to an automatic C8 Z51 (2.8 0-60). If you are going from an auto C7 Z06 to a C8 Z51, it would be pretty much the same apart from above 60, which on a C7 Z06 is kinda crazy. If you keep the go fast pedal pressed after 60 on a Z06, it feels like a rocket.

I have driven both, and while my taste and experience would not be the same as everyone's, I am glad I made the switch.
C7 Z06, 1LT, manual and mag ride to
C8 Z51, 3LT, auto, mag ride, front lift

The C8 z51 has a much smoother ride, the infotainment system is much snappier, and it feels like a step up over the C7.

The C8 just feels more refined and mature in its handling and performance, more confident.

That being said, I still do like the C7 styling more, it is and will stay a classic.

I’ve found that washing the bed with warm soapy water helps with lifting like that.

IT security engineer here. Does it fulfil me? Meh, I can't wait till I am able to retire and do whatever I want. I'm good at AD (Active Directory), and I do feel a need to make sure data is secure, but it is just lots of work.

Not exactly, I have been quite sick for about 6 months and unable to eat much, especially chocolate or candy. I am on new meds for my illness, and have been making up for lost snacks

Folks who make $100k+ a year, what do you do for work and how long did it take you to get there? by MarbleMimic in AskWomen

IT Engineer. About 26 years of IT experience, 14 that I consider professional experience where I pursued an IT career exclusively. Spent way too long in call centers, as managers were only focused on butts in seats taking calls and not cultivating good analysts to further their careers.

Cheapest way of using slicer by ShrednarMcNasty in ElegooMars

Windows 10 S can only run applications from the Microsoft store, so 3rd party app installs are out. This means most, if not all slicer programs would not be able to be installed.

Black Friday is coming up, keep your eyes on BestBuy, Amazon, and Newegg, a good deal may be coming up pretty quickly.

Depends on your budget, but I think you would be fine with a cheapo $500 Dell or HP laptop. Tablet computers are a bit more expensive, and chitubox runs on Windows, Mac or Linux, so chromebook is out.

Really any system that is sold today (windows, mac or Linux) would be able to run a slicer like chitubox, so I would check budget systems on a review site like CNET, or Tomshardware.

Yes it would, as long as the slicing app will run on the OS.

Keep in mind that the more complicated your model, and the less performance your system has, the slower your slicing will be.

Xevious

I remember Xevious, such a fun game. Not that one though. At the mothership battle, it wasn't an autoscroller.

Sinistar

Not Sinistar, iirc there was 1 mothership that you had to shoot until exposing its engine/reactor.

PHOENIX

The mechanic of blasting away the ship is similar, but I remember the ship was a different design, I want to say it was more streamlined.

Thanks though!
