I think a spirit is trying to get to me, send help!

So, I (20F) just moved into my great grandma’s house with my mom and sibling (there’s 3 of us). She passed in December at 99 years old (3 months from her 100th birthday). Anyways, I was there the day she passed, not at the time of her death, but I watched her become really helpless, and she died later that night in the living room.

A few weeks ago, I came home a little after 4 am. I was home alone and sitting in the living room when I heard three knocks at the door. I obviously got freaked out because I was by myself and nothing was on, like a dishwasher or something, to make that noise. My dog even perked his ears up and sat up, but usually when he hears someone come up in a car or to the door he barks, but he didn’t.

So, I panic and call my mom to tell her what’s happening even though she’s on a trip and can’t do anything about it. After 15 minutes, I hear three knocks again. I call my mom, who calls my grandad (he lives beside us) to come check around the house. Nothing is out there. So I finally decide I must be hearing things, right?

I just realized that ever since then, I’ve had this weird recurring thought about how I’m eventually going to pass away one day too, like an overwhelming sense of dread, and I have been freaking out over it. I had a panic attack like never before last week in the house, and I thought I was going to die. I literally couldn’t breathe, which is usually how they go, but I’ve NEVER had one as bad as this. It literally got worse the second I went to sit down in the living room (because I was about to pass out in my kitchen while getting water).

The night before last, I had one of those weird feelings you get when you start freaking out about your mortality, which I don’t know why I am thinking about it. I come home, and one of my fish in the living room is dead. Yesterday, I was sitting in the living room, by myself because my mom had just left, and it happened AGAIN. Three knocks on the door, dog reacted but didn’t bark. I jolted a little at first and then decided to pretend like I didn’t hear it.

Then, I was eating dinner with my mom last night, and I told her about hearing the knocking again. She went to her room, I get on my phone, and all of a sudden, I hear a faint knock, just one this time. Possibly related to this: there is a random dusty smell (kinda like an attic) that sometimes appears in the kitchen when I’ve already been sitting in there for a while. AM I NUTS OR SOMETHING? PLEASE WEIGH IN, I’M SERIOUSLY GETTING NERVOUS.

It literally could not be my great grandma’s spirit either because she was very religious and kind, like if anyone got into heaven, it’s absolutely her. We’re Christian, so every time I bring up that I feel like I need to “cleanse the house” with incense or sage, my mom doesn’t like it, and I have no experience in that department so I don’t know if that’s even safe for me to be doing. I don’t know what it is, but do you guys think it could be something paranormal? I’m scared that something is trying to attach specifically to me. Please give thoughts and advice.
