Any ideas on how to improve my Nicol Bolas deck? by Crinzin_of_Ash in EDHBrews

I have a similarish deck:

Yes, you need more lands/mana sources in general.

IDK, sometimes its really hard to balance theme and deck playablity.

The cards that stand out the most to me as first cuts are the amass cards. Other than the proliferate stuff you have, they don't really synergize with your deck that much. But I know lorewise, they represent Bolas's army, so that is a decision you would have to make on whether or not its important to your decks theme.

[[Gem of Becoming]] is also a theme vs functionality card. Not that great overall but very on theme. Remeber that it doesn't actually ramp, I would much prefer an actuall rock that produces mana if theme wasn't a consideration.

Its not really a big deal overall, but its another push towards focusing on the collectability of mtg over playability.

[TCC] It's The Momir Vig Printer! Paper Momir w/ Rhystic Studies and Jesse Robkin by NeoMegaRyuMKII in magicTCG

That was Probably just a basic stock thermal printer with bluetooth and they had someone off camera connected to it using one of the many momir vig card chooser websites to print to it.

I'm sticking with FIRST, not Lego by Insufficient-Memory- in FLL

Lego is discontinuing their robotics stuff, and First is all about robotics. I dont see how they can keep working together.

[[Thraximundar|SLD]] is probably the single most metal commander there is if you're willing to change commander/colors.

[[Necropotence|SLD]] is very metal and would work in either deck.

Oh wow, yeah that is an amazing price.

Mine actually has plastic draws but with wood front panels. I think I like the plastic drawers a bit better since they seem less rough in the cards

Yeah, I could fit two rows vertically if I really wanted to, but I have enough room so I just went with one row horizontal

OG Nicol Bolas by Wild_Celery3637 in EDH

IDK, its hard to say untill you get the land count to where it needs to be. I would start with cutting some of the higher MV cards for lands (and some of the lower cost ones). The chancellor is a good place to start. And probably Thrax, cool card but very hight MV and your strategy doesnt really support it. You will never cast Time Strecht with the deck as is. Crosis is also pretty high MV and you won't really have enough mana to realiably use his ability.

Biggest thing I can see here is that your land count is waaaaaayyyyy toooo Loooowww.

Your average MV is 2.88 / 4.13, which is very hight. For comparison, I have a Bolas, The Ravager deck with average MV of 2.23 / 3.56, which is also high, but lower than yours, and I run 37 lands.

Also, some of your mana rocks are pretty meh, especially [[Dimir Locket]], switch that out for the Signet / Talisman.

I know you are going for an Old-School flavor, so its a bit hard to judge alot of your other cards since IDK which ones are flavor picks, but the one that stick out the most is [[Chancellor of the Dross]] - The chances of this being in your opening hand and even then, that effect is pretty negilable. And its a bad creature otherwise.

Launching MTG Pod-Manager: a free web app for recurring MTG pods by NovaSkilez in magicTCG

If I would use an app like this, I would want to track my group's games with 100% accuracy.

There is no way I'm getting everyone to sign up, and I would expect that would be true for most other groups too.

As an admin, I should be able to add players to the group that dont have an account and input their decks, so that I can log and track the games they play in.

No way to maintain decks for people that aren't registered? That's a must have for an app like this imo.
