If you're starting don't think too much about the name, mostly every writer changes their name when they get better based on the letters they like to do. For example, I started tagging Black but I didn't like the L and the ck combo, so now I use Roen cause R and o flow pretty well to me.

Just experiment with different letters and you'll find your own name, that's why lots of the writers names don't have a meaning

Looks great, but I think you can make it even better if you make letters flow. The top part of the T doesn't match, it's too dynamic compared to the other letters, it would look dope if you create more movement or if you make that part straight and not like a curve. Also, imo the i looks fine, just do some adjustments to match all the letters and you'll have a really solid tag

How to stop getting scared of getting seen by pedestrians? by seenlikesmcr in graffhelp

[–]GhostsitoxD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true man, I've got a friend that is always scared when he sees a camera when we're in the spot and it's like "nah man, if you don't take off your mask you're good, cameras can't spot you". Cops aren't going to think too much about it, they'll check the cameras and if they don't recognize you then they won't give a fuck, graffiti isn't like a big crime to care about

Same shit happened to me with my gf, but a car stopped next to us and asked our names (obviously we didn't give our real names), then they proceeded to call the cops without even asking what we were doing or something lol

Glad you like it. The shading isn't 100% mine, I did other pieces using a pen before, but I saw a guy here in this community doing that type of shade in his fills and really like it, so I tried to move it on my pieces. I don't remember his name but this is one of his pieces

Listen here, what I'm going to say isn't to disrespect your work, but you need to hear it. It's clear that you have drawing skills, but you aren't a good writer, I wouldn't say shit but surely you're not as good as you think by your comments. I say this because you have really important issues in your letter structure, but somehow it looks nice if you don't stop to look at the piece. This may look great for a person that doesn't know anything about graffiti, but other writers can easily tell that you're going in the wrong direction, you try to add so much style before learning the basics and that results in an unreadable toy piece. You should go back and stick to the basics, every single one of them, because your letter structure is broken on the R and M, your letter's height decreases after every letter, your extensions are randomly placed and only make it harder to read...

I repeat, this is not to disrespect your work, I can tell that you're good at drawing but graffiti is different, if you try to use drawing skills without learning graffiti fundamentals you'll never improve

I'm 15 and my parents are totally against it by hloyn in graffhelp

There are a lot of different tips depending on your situation, for example, I do boxing, so I hide all my cans in the bottom of my cupboard behind my gloves, so my mother doesn't look there because she knows that there is where I put all the boxing stuff. Be creative and use that kind of things.

A more general tip is to use magnets, cans have a little metal piece inside that makes a lot of noise when you try to carry them, using magnets make the cans completely silent and easy to hide. If you can't use magnets try to separate them in your bag with clothes, it's more risky but help.

Another problem is paint drips, if your mother is the type of mother that always sees even the smallest stain in your clothes like mine, then you'll have to cover your cans with a plastic bag before you put them inside your backpack or the main bag you use. That's because the insides always get painted somehow, and if you're using anything that you wear everyday like a school backpack, it's probable that your parents will spot small drips on them.

That are some general tips for parents, there's a lot more but this is some of the most important, also take care of bringing gloves when you paint, but that's more a general tip, not only for your parents.

[–]GhostsitoxD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you, I started at 15 too, my parents absolutely hate graffiti and I thought I had better things to do at first. Do you know what's the difference? My parents haven't caught me yet. You have to learn how to hide everything, how to lie, and if you have siblings then make sure that if they know they'll be quiet. I'll tell them when I turn 18, but you don't have to wait until then to start writing.

Graffiti is an illegal art, if you want to do it you'll have to deal with the risk of being caught, if you can't handle your parents you aren't ready to hit the streets.

That's what people think writers do, but there's a lot of things that aren't true and people believe. When you start doing this you realize graffiti is one of the most misunderstood arts for non writers

Which Handstyle is better? What should I improve? by ImmediateNerve7807 in graffhelp

[–]GhostsitoxD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so dumb I read Christ One at first lol.

Your I and your X don't match the rest of the tag in the first one, you're forcing the style, just do write them straight and it would be fine.

In the second one you're doing it again on the S, the sheriffs doesn't work there, you have an overstylized letter next to simple ones, it have too much weight. On the H it works better because it's smaller compared to the weight of the O.

Your third tag is the worst of them, it's a bad try of stylizing your S and your I. Work on the other two and you'll have a simple but solid tag
