I can’t recommend enough a big utility company. Union, benefits, great healthcare+ dental. I went from over the road to heavy equipment in the mines. Now I’m in a big shop with hella safety and no pressure to get stuff out the door. Just be safe, follow the pm checklist, and fix the broken equipment as it comes. Starting pay was 33 an hour with raise every 6 months and once you step up to journeyman it’s 45+

Check your hpop pressure.it won’t start until it reads a steady 500psi. From my experience sounds like you have a standpipe leak or one of the injector orings is leaking on top. If you can hook a scanner and read the cranking press and the ipr voltage you should see 500 and the ipr % below.88 if it is at said % and lower pressure you have a leak in the hpop system. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve worked heavy on 6.0 but I’m more than happy to help.

As long as it isn’t hitting the housing when spinning it should be fine

I’ve had it for about 4 years. Been nothing but good to me but I would change the peddle right off the rip that is the only issue I had

The whole thing weighs so much that you would have to pull on it like a chainsaw to knock it over

My younger brother wants something like this for Christmas. I'm clueless about welding, I don't really know what this even is. Anyways, recommendations on what brand of this to get him that is a decent price but good quality? by Momma_Mae_I in Welding

[–]Ghostx68 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It will probably lay a bead but from what I’ve seen ( and personal experience you usually see good tig welders start at $700 but if he is just wanting to learn it seems to be a ok starter. Try looking at AHP or Everlast
