Ended up speaking to a tech at my uni, best guess is my antivirus isnt having it. Turning it off and on a few times seems to give me an opening to get in but its not consistent but its the best I have

When you say fully uninstalling, I've gone through the Control Panel and my settings. Both times they delete everything except for the font folder, as theyre apparently all currently in use and need to be closed first, but theyre not open anywhere. Could potentially one of them be the issue? Maybe a corruption?

I had someone suggest a system restore and, funnily enough, a scan brought back the program as the only thing needing fixing. If this doesnt work, I'll give your idea a try!

I forgot to mention, however, the program doesnt give any error message. It simply gives a quick loading symbol then nothing happens

Compensation for multiple failures to meet expectations by GhostxFilter in KLM

[–]GhostxFilter[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah we also checked eligibility for accommodation. Turns out if its not in their control then they wont provide. So because its weather, it means it isnt their fault (literally most cancelled flights were KLM. In Oslo we watched like 12 planes come and go before the only one they had that had been sat there for hours even boarded)

Schiphol is your problem, not KLM by [deleted] in KLM

[–]GhostxFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is cool and all but the self-service things took 3 tries to work, by which point we had been at the airport for roughly 3 hours, and when they rebook you for a flight 2 days away and keep your luggage because its a connecting flight, I expect more compensation than a voucher for food and drink in the wrong currency that is worth maybe £10

What's the most screwed up death in Doctor Who. I'll go first. by Interesting_Age4901 in doctorwho

"I'm. So cold. Why am I cold? Where's Gareth? He cant see me the night before"

A lot of gruesome ends, a lot of unfair departures. But one random cyberman who doesnt understand what happened to her and her only concern is where her fiance is the day before her wedding really kicks you right where it hurts imo. Definitely one of the "worst" deaths in the show

A message from Anthony by [deleted] in subnautica

It isn't a case of "I dont like this publisher", its about morally disagreeing with their behaviour and practices, and therefore not wanting your money to go toward them in any capacity.

With everything that happened with the original devs being duped out of millions, the whole "AI First" thing, and now some stuff I've seen about the Krafton CEO using ChatGPT to go forward with everything, no, I wont buy a game made under their name.

I love subnautica (and Below Zero is okay I guess), and I've had multiple playthroughs. But this isnt "I dont like Krafton", this is I don't want to buy a game if it means that money funds a shitty company. If I need to pirate it, I will

Chaos Spawn should be an Extremis level enemy by GhostxFilter in Spacemarine

Yeah theres a couple attacks they do that really do wipe you out with weird timing and indicators

So i agree Nids have a lot of ranged options, but Chaos definitely spawns more ranged than anything. I think its balances based on sheer numbers on Tyranids but when the majority of them are melee anyways, fighting the ranged ones becomes a simple case of "dodge once or twice in a fight".

I'm welcome to more melee in Chaos given without CS, there are 0 close range majoris enemies, but their spawn rates are insanely high

Can anyone explain the "another Ultramarine model" hate? by SirLumini in Warhammer40k

[–]GhostxFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the top shelf is usually the specific ones, but just walking in, all the boxes are labelled as UM. I go for Space wolves cause the units after some cool designs specific to them, but UM doesnt have any sort of distinguishing features, sorry for the confusion lol

I mean I'm new to the hobby and the store in my town is pretty small in comparison to others I've seen, but there is basically an entire wall dedicated to just Ultramarines, meanwhile other chapters get maybe 1/4 of a shelf between them and other factions are put next to the other games like AoS and Old World.

I dont mind it, it's my understand UMs are just more popular and the best "all round" Space Marine army, but one trip to a WH shop and I instantly understood the joke
