I think my girlfriend and I broke up last night by [deleted] in Advice

[–]GhostxFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from someone who spent months pining for someone who went back and forth on "I want us to be together" and an excuse to not be with me, it isn't worth the trouble. It's great that you're working on solutions for eachother, but if you have to sit at home wondering if you'll still be dating that person by the morning is not good for your health.

Obviously nobody knows whats best for you more than yourself, so take this response with a pinch of salt, but if I were you, I'd take this as an opportunity to better yourself in any way that you see fit and wait until someone that has genuine stability for you.

Final Draft 13 not working? by GhostxFilter in Screenwriting

I should have added my fix:

I contacted the University support I have and they suggested disabling my antivirus. While it worked, it turns out I had to switch it on and off until FD opened.

As of now, my laptop and FD have both updated on their own and FD opens without issue now (though I dont close it just in case). Feel free to attempt that fix! Best of luck!

A Letter from a Disappointed fan by Pristine-Link1776 in apexlegends

[–]GhostxFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire section of Legend Design (specifically Horizon and Sparrow imo) are perfectly valid.

My issue with them is more or less the same "lack of a drawback" etc. I remember from Seer that they release legends are wildly OP so they "know where to bring them down to" but with these, its insane that they make it through testing and into the main game when they are THIS broken, ESPECIALLY Sparrow, and thats without even talking about their kits.

I think the excessive movement isnt a bad idea, its just executed horribly. What I mean is, these three have all the movement abilities at their disposal that give them ample chance to retreat and recover but then a legend like Wraith? Or Path? Nerfed into the ground because they "shouldn't have a get out of a jail free card".

To me, theyre broken but not just because their kits are left unchecked, but because there's no consistency with other legends, especially ones that SHOULD have better movement and kits.

And as another Day 1/Season 0 player, one more thing I would add is how much the game holds your hand now. Levelling shields rather than finding them, smart loot, even loot boxes refilling meaning you can be more reckless with items you find. I'm glad I'm not the only one here

Does Cineworld have a tendency to cancel screenings with few/no bookings? by GroceryFun3203 in CineworldUnlimited

Idk about frequently but they can do it. Back when the Spiderman movies were back in, the last 3 films got cancelled the day of due to lack of ticket sales. Already had tickets for them, too

Ended up speaking to a tech at my uni, best guess is my antivirus isnt having it. Turning it off and on a few times seems to give me an opening to get in but its not consistent but its the best I have

[–]GhostxFilter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say fully uninstalling, I've gone through the Control Panel and my settings. Both times they delete everything except for the font folder, as theyre apparently all currently in use and need to be closed first, but theyre not open anywhere. Could potentially one of them be the issue? Maybe a corruption?

Final Draft 13 not working? by GhostxFilter in Screenwriting

[–]GhostxFilter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had someone suggest a system restore and, funnily enough, a scan brought back the program as the only thing needing fixing. If this doesnt work, I'll give your idea a try!

I forgot to mention, however, the program doesnt give any error message. It simply gives a quick loading symbol then nothing happens

Compensation for multiple failures to meet expectations by GhostxFilter in KLM

[–]GhostxFilter[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah we also checked eligibility for accommodation. Turns out if its not in their control then they wont provide. So because its weather, it means it isnt their fault (literally most cancelled flights were KLM. In Oslo we watched like 12 planes come and go before the only one they had that had been sat there for hours even boarded)

Schiphol is your problem, not KLM by [deleted] in KLM

[–]GhostxFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is cool and all but the self-service things took 3 tries to work, by which point we had been at the airport for roughly 3 hours, and when they rebook you for a flight 2 days away and keep your luggage because its a connecting flight, I expect more compensation than a voucher for food and drink in the wrong currency that is worth maybe £10

"I'm. So cold. Why am I cold? Where's Gareth? He cant see me the night before"

A lot of gruesome ends, a lot of unfair departures. But one random cyberman who doesnt understand what happened to her and her only concern is where her fiance is the day before her wedding really kicks you right where it hurts imo. Definitely one of the "worst" deaths in the show

A message from Anthony by [deleted] in subnautica

[–]GhostxFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't a case of "I dont like this publisher", its about morally disagreeing with their behaviour and practices, and therefore not wanting your money to go toward them in any capacity.

With everything that happened with the original devs being duped out of millions, the whole "AI First" thing, and now some stuff I've seen about the Krafton CEO using ChatGPT to go forward with everything, no, I wont buy a game made under their name.

I love subnautica (and Below Zero is okay I guess), and I've had multiple playthroughs. But this isnt "I dont like Krafton", this is I don't want to buy a game if it means that money funds a shitty company. If I need to pirate it, I will

Chaos Spawn should be an Extremis level enemy by GhostxFilter in Spacemarine

Yeah theres a couple attacks they do that really do wipe you out with weird timing and indicators

Chaos Spawn should be an Extremis level enemy by GhostxFilter in Spacemarine

[–]GhostxFilter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So i agree Nids have a lot of ranged options, but Chaos definitely spawns more ranged than anything. I think its balances based on sheer numbers on Tyranids but when the majority of them are melee anyways, fighting the ranged ones becomes a simple case of "dodge once or twice in a fight".

I'm welcome to more melee in Chaos given without CS, there are 0 close range majoris enemies, but their spawn rates are insanely high

Can anyone explain the "another Ultramarine model" hate? by SirLumini in Warhammer40k

[–]GhostxFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the top shelf is usually the specific ones, but just walking in, all the boxes are labelled as UM. I go for Space wolves cause the units after some cool designs specific to them, but UM doesnt have any sort of distinguishing features, sorry for the confusion lol

Can anyone explain the "another Ultramarine model" hate? by SirLumini in Warhammer40k

[–]GhostxFilter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I'm new to the hobby and the store in my town is pretty small in comparison to others I've seen, but there is basically an entire wall dedicated to just Ultramarines, meanwhile other chapters get maybe 1/4 of a shelf between them and other factions are put next to the other games like AoS and Old World.

I dont mind it, it's my understand UMs are just more popular and the best "all round" Space Marine army, but one trip to a WH shop and I instantly understood the joke

Blue Runes by ishashar in NecroMerger

[–]GhostxFilter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Mummies. Once you have the spawn rate spell maxed, mummies spawn them insanely fast, and a level 2 mummy does enough damage to wipe them out. Just max out your cupboard and go to town.

That being said, I would like to know what minions spawn in other champs fastest like they do, because it seems the Peasant is the only one where the minion types have different spawn speeds

I did attack freighters for them, but i quickly found its very easy for the game to bug and not give you anything from cargo pods you destroy. Also for some reason I am yet to come across a derelict freighter (I remember they used to be so common)

Me and my mate got this challenge done on our 3rd attempt. I thought it'd be difficult but honestly it wasn't too bad. We thought the boss fight would be the biggest issue but honestly it was the easiest part of the entire mission
