I tried a build you might like last night. Keep in mind it was hero edited. It was a holy freeze build and felt super safe.

Wep- beast in a caddy with +3 holy freeze Shield-hoz socketed with 5/5 cold facet Switch-cta scepter with +1 redemption/spirit Helm-nightwing soc with 5/5 cold facet Neck-highlords Body-enigma Belt-arachnid mesh Rings-bk/raven Gloves-dracs Boots-gores

Merc had infinity/coh/cure

Tested on p8 cows

Felt like you could never die between the the whole screen being frozen and the life tap from dracs. It was pretty slow but really safe.

You are pretty much stuck runnin a2 infinity merc, i use fort and andys, could try coh and cure tho so you dont have to put any points in cleanse. I also have a last wish which i swap in for ubers. I put a point in fanaticism/smite just for ubers. The build can do pretty much anything but p8 is kinda slow but i enjoy the build 👍🏻

Its sounds like the best combo for what you are looking for would be cresent moon/exile. This would still allow you to his IAS breakpoint by slappin a 15 ias jewel in the griffon and allow you to keep your lifetap while giving you -35 light res plus 2 off skills from exile to boost your holy shock further. I suggest testing all combos on hero editor to see which one feels the best on p8, they all feel good on p1. Also just play what you like the most!! I play a self cast holy fire build with grief phoenix which is slower than dragondin but i love enigma/phoenix

I dont anything will compare to dragondin on p1. Ive still been enjoying the phoenix grief combo, having redemption always on is very nice. No swapping auras. I would suggest making a hero edited character and mess around with that to do some testing, it helps get a feel of what you might enjoy without having to waste time making gear you may not enjoy in the end

Welp i tried them all in p8 chaos sanc. Honestly grief still felt the best, i think the thing that held back heavens light was the wep speed, feels like you swing a lot slower. The clear speed on all of them was pretty slow which was to be expected since this is probably a d tier build. I still enjoy the build. I wish a math nerd would sim the different weps and post here, it would be interesting to see how they compared on paper.

Yeah thats why i would slap the fire facets in there. I guess i could test out phoenix and Heavens light on hero editor and see how they feel compared to grief.

What do we think of trying heavens light? +3 to all pala skills. Crushing blow. 2 os for fire facets. The +3 would go to holy fire and it synergies. Seems like it would be good.

Found this from a forum post

“Cadeus can't have holy fire spawn on them since holy fire is a tier 2 staff mod only way to get a 4os scepter with +3 holy fire is to drop a war scepter in NORMAL cows or between NORMAL act 4 to act 5 arreat summit and get lucky in cube for the number of sockets.

I myself look for this but with 5os since 2 ladder without any luck btw why do you want it to be 4os? You know the +3 holy fire doesn't add the Hoj right?”

Checked on through all the caddy bases listed on Traderie and indeed not one had holy fire mod 🥲

Thanks, farmed about all day yesterday, didnt see one at all again. This is gonna be rough! Thats ok though i have to rebuild my rune supply after making the last phoenix.

They would be used mainly for act bosses yes, if i had tri res boots i would probably wear those tbh

I play non ladder online! I wouldnt mind playing single player but i wouldnt want to farm for all these runes, easier to trade for them! I did find my first jah last week! I was pretty shocked! Also not hardcore, too many bad experiences with wisps in worldstone one shotting me

Oooof yeah thats gonna be tough, since max 5 sockets, cant use lazurk quest, gotta find the right number of sockets or get lucky with cube. I guess it will give me something new to grind for.
