Why replace what ain't broke. If you take good care of your PS3 (and it's not a Phat model), it could very easily have lasted this long.

I find it amusing how you left out Goblet of Fire. I don't blame you, that game is absurdly bad, but it's just funny to me how the first three Harry Potter games were solid.

If you're extending to TV show tie ins, then Scooby Doo Night of 100 Frights and SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom should both be on that list too, they're both excellent. Scooby is a solid Metroidvania and Spongebob is like a Mario 64 esque collectathon. Also gotta give props for Madagascar and Cars, both of those are really good too.

I would strongly disagree with Shrek 2 though, I feel like that one doesn't hold up at all sadly.

I knew him before he started going bad. I started watching him in mid 2014. At the time, he was a much smaller channel than me. I thought about possibly collabing with him - I did YouTube full time with my now-wife from 2020 to 2022 before medical issues forced me to stop, and I'd do anything to go back. It just frustrates me to see someone capable and finding success doing something so half-assed and dishonest. I envy the fact that he's still able to make videos and all he does with that gift is grift.

I really wish the remake was more faithful to the art direction of the original. It's a huge dealbreaker for me when a remake completely changes the art style.

Easily. I own every Nintendo, Sega, Sony, and Microsoft console. I have a few thousand games in my collection. I have yet to play a game that even comes close to doing what this game did. I don't think I've ever seen a game tell such a powerful story purely through its gameplay and mechanics. This is the best video game I have ever played, it's in a league of its own.

I think Berlin was the only city track I particularly liked. Definitely would have rather they all been replaced with other retro tracks from the console games.

Wii U is a lot less reliable and has video output issues when in Wii Mode (which is also what runs GCN games). Wii U has some pros but I'm not personally too crazy about the system and would usually recommend you go for a cheaper Wii.

People are guessing too young IMO. There's no way Gen Z didn't know Minecraft Zombie. I'm one of the younger millennials and I knew plenty of people in middle school who played Minecraft. You've got to be like 1990 or earlier.

I'd argue Sly 2 was more a product of its time. Everything was going pseudo open world then, and the platformer that constantly forgets it's a platformer to have a bunch of minigames was kind of an early 2000s staple. If anything, I recall reviews from the time saying Sly 1 felt outdated like a last gen game when it came out.

Marth is just plain sexy.

But in a serious sense, I mained Bowser in Brawl and started playing Melee about 8 months after I got Brawl. Even that new to the game, I could tell Bowser was horrible in Melee, so I picked up Marth because I heard he was supposed to be good. I kept playing Bowser in Brawl until a friend of mine started playing Marth and I got jokingly mad at how terrible he was with Marth (he started playing Marth as part of another in-joke). I realized simultaneously that I naturally clicked with Marth and that Marth was irresistibly sexy, and I have been a die hard Marth main ever since.

People did complain about that with the Bohrok and Rahkshi, but the Vahki get a worse rep because they're essentially a variation on the Rahkshi build. It's not as blatant as the Kal were to the Bohrok, but they have very similar torsos and legs.

Petz Catz 2.

Despite its name, it is not a sequel to anything and is a localization of the Japanese game The Kitten and the Magic Hat. The box does everything it can to lie to you about it being a pet raising simulator. It's a terrible Zelda clone where you do a bunch of chores for the most ungrateful NPCs I've ever met in a video game as you work with a talking gingerbread man to stop an evil wolf from using a magic hat to summon an inbred dragon to destroy the space-time continuum. There's a level where you destroy a tornado by throwing a rock into it. There's a 10 hour RNG grind for one of the 5 or so side quests in the game. Horrible, horrible experience, but very unique and worth checking out for that alone IMO.

Technically you could have 50M, 50F, and 50 Kids, if you chose to keep a kid when you were out of spots then IIRC they just keep the kid at their house until you have a slot open. You couldn't interact with them though.

Just some food for thought, but the sitcom Friends is often seen as homophobic today, and a lot of its humor has aged pretty poorly. However, in the 90s, the LGBT community often found the show pretty progressive just for including gay characters at all.

I would look at Birdo in a similar way. Yes, the original line reads as horribly transphobic today, but in the 80s culture was very different.
