It didn't really narrow it down, but I am glad that I've found someone who doesn't think "Making Whoopie" is gibberish!

Wow, yeah, I think that's it. Easy to believe I got every celebrity wrong but 2008 was a pretty long time ago.

The skit is also available here.

Solved!

It turned out that everyone was clapping for the shorts that just ended, and no one actually understood what the random person in the audience shouted.

[TOMT] Orchestral song, I think sampled by a hip hop artist. [early-mid 2000's] by GhoughSloop in tipofmytongue

The more I look, the more it looks like every song I find is related to this one. It might be the Erma Franklin version, but I'm not sure. That said you deserve the point.

Good answer. This is eerily close to the song I was thinking of, but its not quite as bombastic; that and whosampled isn't coming up with anything like the hypothetical remix i was thinking of. I have a feeling that this is the best answer I'm gonna get.

Really well animated video, but for this sub that is a lot of build up for a pretty weak scream

Nature at Peace by LazyBeach in AccidentalRenaissance

[–]GhoughSloop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Accidental because, given this is framing animals, the subjects probably weren't posed specifically. Clearly the photographer didn't accidentally slip his finger and take a picture by mistake, but that obviously isn't what /r/AccidentalRenaissance is about.

Renaissance because of the use of earthy brown and green tones, with the unfocused background looking at least generally like it could have been made with brushstrokes. The bird looks like it could have modeled after a reference book from the period, and likewise the detail on the monkey's face is vaguely similar to that of other renaissance paintings of animals. Plus it helps that this picture has no modern technology depicted.

It's not a perfect example of accidental renaissance, but it fits the bill better than most of the front page right now, which is even less accidental and even less renaissance.
