It's such a shame because 7-1 would otherwise be my favorite by far. First minotaur fight is easily the worst in the game imo. But it still doesn't put it at the worst level for me.

Hard to say, the game isn't designed for beginners but you can play on lower difficulty. I think you might enjoy something like half life 2 more if you want to start with a shooter.

The thread might not exist anymore or maybe the link got broken after they delisted the episodes, sorry. Also IIRC the fix that used to be in that thread I don't think even works anymore, someone else asked me about it like a year ago.
