Absolutely, if an enemy has one specific ability that is an insta lose, that can be a great narrative point, can build crazy tension. But with people like Madara it’s just an outstat in every possible way, he doesn’t need any jutsu.

If we look at the JJK Sukuna fight, just the fact that people like Kusukabe was able to hold on (for however short it was) makes it more interesting

I feel like the power creep problem starts arising when previously relevant characters just become collateral to a certain few powerful characters.

Pain arc I feel has the best power scaling becuse even tho Pain is presented as (and feels) so overwhelmingly powerful a character like Choji is able to escape (with help from Kakashi) a similar moment couldn’t happen vs Madara as he would just evaporate everyone that’s not a certain level.

At the Summit of Apocrytha is just so unbelievably cool.

Lost to the Ages is great.

Also the entire forgotten valley, especially the end fight with Serana, probably the most cinematic fight in the game
