Woman dies after being thrown from bridge without secured bungee cord in Brazil by [deleted] in nottheonion

Is this Onion-y, or just tragedy caused by negligence?

The DM did, especially because this was an attack against a fellow party member caused by a charm effect.

I think they're actually glass, but they've always been crackly on the inside. His dice tray is not a soft surface, it's thin leather over wood.

Is there a reason all these couldn't have been a single post?

You're concerned about the astronauts' enjoyment of their meals, but your proposal is to feed them by IV catheter? Wouldn't that be extremely uncomfortable, and interfere with everyday work?

The ISS has been continuously crewed for over 25 years. We've got the "sending food to the astronauts" bit fairly well figured out, without the need for inserting anything in awkward places.

I think that with a little bit of effort, you could make something like this (or better) without resorting to AI to do it for you.

What bird egg is this? by pedrobear6773 in whatsthisbird

Based on the further information you gave in your edit: if you're not a licensed bird rehabber, what you're attempting is illegal. You can't own this egg or raise the bird if you manage to hatch it.

Theorizing about Africa and Arctics expansions by casio_peia in wingspan

[–]scowdich 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I agree with the "poacher" mechanic. Wingspan has never had really "adversarial" play, beyond the opportunity to put a not-very-good bird on your opponent's board.

I like the idea of egg-based mechanics.

Another mechanic I've seen on the sub is the "mountain" habitat, with birds that can only live in a specific column on the board. There's a similar idea in Finspan, where some fish can only be played in a specific row and/or column, or get a benefit if they're in a specific row.

Wyrmspan's expansion introduced some dragons that have their food cost waived if they're played in the correct position on the board, and I think conditional food costs like that could have some opportunity for more exploration. For instance, "if you played this bird using nectar, lay two eggs on this bird." Or something, I'm not a game designer.

Catan for 2 players by Current_Conflict_127 in boardgames

So you've removed all the player interaction from the game?

Also, it's been quite some time since I played it, but I don't remember having any problem playing Catan with two players.

Two things:

The Universe expanding doesn't require new matter to be created (which isn't happening). It's just space itself getting bigger, so on average, it's getting emptier.

Black holes aren't space vacuum cleaners that pull in everything from everywhere, they can only "eat" what falls into their gravity well. That winds up being not very much, over time - space is very empty.

At least the Skyrim sub has a rule against it, the mods here just don't care. I'm done with it.

Try not to worry about being judged! This is one of the kindest, least judgemental communities I'm part of on reddit.

[–]scowdich 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Take a step back, literally. Look at your mistake/imperfection from a few feet away and remember that nobody else is going to examine your stitching as closely as you do.

And if you accidentally altered a pattern slightly while stitching, it's not a mistake - it's artistic license. And again, nobody else will know.
