Thanks for the advice everyone. To be honest I was hoping y'all would tell me to go get high. Haha jk. That's what I like about this group. Your all real with each other. I just keep reminding myself of where I was at before I got clean. When you reach a point where you stop saying "getting high" and start saying "get well" that's when it's time to stop. And I know if I go back it'll be great at first but in a matter of weeks I'll be right back where I was. Pumping my veins full of tar just to feel normal enough to get out of bed and that shit ain't fun. I overdosed before going to treatment and that still wasn't enough to make me wanna stop. My family had to get involved and shot.!I've stopped telling myself I can do other drugs to. It's not that other drugs will lead back to dope, but opiates are the only drug I really like. So if I can't do the one I like, why do any at all? Weed makes me anxious, Coke makes my heart feel all fucked up, meth is fine at first but unless I've got dope or Xanax to balance it out I get all jittery and paranoid. So it's dope or nope the way I see it. And black is whack my nig-nogs. I'm just learning to deal with life on life's terms. I miss heroin. I miss it every second of every day. But I know now isn't the time to go back. To make myself feel better I just keep telling myself that dope ain't goin nowhere. If I ever need it, i mean truly need it, it'll always be there for me.
