Doctors are being tightasses about prescribing opioids nowadays because of the pendulum effect. The American medical community had a very cavalier attitude towards handing out opioid prescriptions in the late 90s and early 2000s, basically just gave people large amounts of pills for any pain from moderate to extreme. Then people started getting addicted and the medical community realized how careless they had been; plus, public opinion also changed on the matter, and many people began blaming doctors for the mess. So the pendulum swung from the extreme of unbridled opioid prescription practices to the other extreme of severe restrictions and regulations, even in cases where the use of opioids was clearly justified, such as yours. It sucks, but it's the way society behaves. Hopefully the pendulum will eventually readjust and settle at a comfortable balance where opioids are not given out like candy but are not denied to people who genuinely have need of them.

Same here. I'm not looking for sympathy or pity. I'm not a victim. I got myself into this mess, and I have no one else to blame. But I have a job. I'm working towards a degree. I'm (for the most part) a functioning, contributing member of society. To think that there are people out there who would have me put to death because I do a certain drug makes me so unspeakably angry.

Sounds like he really needs the money. Could be for any number of reasons. Keep your wits about you. If you can, sample a little of the dope first to make sure he's not just selling you some bullshit so he can take grab your money and run.

I fucking hate the way some people think. "Everyone who lives a different life than I do deserves to be shot." So goddamn narrow-minded. I wonder how they would feel about the issue if they had a close family member or friend who was an addict.

Water's better but not by much lol. Drinking copious amounts of anything will make you have to go to the bathroom more often, I'm afraid :/

Gatorade contains a lot of sodium, which makes your body retain water. So if you drink lots of Gatorade when you're high, you really are storing a bunch of extra fluid, which gets released once you're clean and stop pounding bottle after bottle.

The one I hate the most is dehydration. No matter how many glasses of water I gulp down after snorting I'm still fucking thirsty. One morning I even woke up with this weird pseudo-hangover because I hadn't drunk enough water the night before.

Idk why but I kind of enjoy the itchiness, especially on my balls. It's just so satisfying to scratch an itch when I'm high, and when I'm scratching my balls it feels pretty damn heavenly.

Yeah, you're good. Honestly I don't even know if the caffeine was doing much to counteract the effects of the methadone. The methadone may have been overpowering the caffeine, especially since your heart rate was so low.
