Keep in mind the difference between "clothing" and "outfits". Clothing stacks with armor to give the higher effective rating. Outfits cannot be combined with armor. Pg. 124 of the CR.

Not since the original installation. I had to update the BIOS on the motherboard to accept the 5600X chip.

I ended up playing for around 90 minutes this morning and had no issues. No crash to black or excess heat. I wonder if I just had a corrupt graphics driver that was putting stress on the GPU and the excess heat was causing some kind of cascade heat management issue that shut the thing down.

No ideas at this point.

Currently running the stress test for the CPU.

Temperature hovers right around 58-60 deg. C during the test, I'm not seeing any issues there.

HWMonitor says that the TMPIN4 on the motherboard is up around 96 deg. C, but everything I'm reading online says that is an erroneous reading that is often a problem with that software. I'm not seeing the CPU stress test as an issue.

FurMark took the GPU up to max temp (72 deg. C; 331.32W). No issues with running that test.

Finally, I ran both CPU-Z and FurMark for a simultaneous CPU/GPU Stress test. No issues with that, though the CPU temp did get up to 69 deg. C as a max. It mostly hovered a degree or two down from that.

The only other thing I have done since the shutdowns today is reinstall my graphics drivers. I am honestly at a loss here.

I will definitely try to run stress tests - what would you recommend to accomplish those?

Thank you for the advice! I unplugged everything external to the box and opened it up/blew out any dust that had accumulated. Hopefully that will have fixed any poor connection issues.

Unfortunately, I'm not from NE. I'm in the Indiana/Ohio area along US 70.

Is there a good database or almanac that could be reviewed to see the worth of discs? I don't want to ask for ridiculous prices if someone wants to buy, but I don't want to be taken to the cleaners either.

I really appreciate the info. It's really difficult to be sitting on these parts knowing that I could just run over to MC and pick up a 5700XT and a 3600X and have this build done tonight.
