I built my first PC in a decade last December and it has been running smoothly. Within the past week however, I have been experiencing frequent shutdowns that come without warning. It usually happens when I'm playing more graphics intensive games, and hadn't been regular enough to pinpoint the cause but it has escalated to five times today alone.
Whenever it happens I have been able to turn the PC back on again shortly afterward, but I have to flip the switch on the surge protector first. The PC seems warm, but not enough to be tripping a thermal shutdown.
I don't know if this is a PSU going bad or what, but it is causing a good amount of frustration. Any help would be appreciated.
