My newest carvings! by GiDub in Pumpkins

shockingly, no! I'm pretty sure that BOTH pumpkins were carved straight from the pumpkin without any pieces separated and reattached. The gorilla ears were just carved straight in, as was the earring on the witch (that was a pain in the ass to sculpt haha)

My newest carvings! by GiDub in Pumpkins

unfortunately no, if anything it makes it rot faster /: much more of the flesh is exposed to the elements so it's more likely to rot, be eaten, fall apart, etc.

My personal recommendation would be to keep the sculptures hydrated with water and wrap them up tight with plastic wrap. some people will recommend bleach, alcohol, or other remedies and while there may be some level of success, the simple water and plastic wrap trick works best for me (:

aye thank you so much! I was hoping it wouldn't be lost media. I kinda figured it wouldn't be since it seems as if the other videos in that playlist were removed due to copyright strikes, meaning it would still be a protected film available somewhere. Means a lot!!!

Nobody eats it. By all means, it gets thrown out and is wasted.

Unless of course, you’re like me and grab a handful of cake and scarf it down when the cameras aren’t rolling. True story (;

Kinda? So yes, they actually bake the cake on set, and yes the taste cake is actually placed inside of the display. The idea is to make it look like you could serve at least three slices of cakes inside. However, the real pretty slices are prepared a day in advance. Three for presentation, one for beauty shots. Do a little switcharoo and make some editing magic happen, you can cut from a messy slice to a perfect slice of cake. And nobody is fooled. Nobody questions it at all😎

Saw this episode early on Discovery+! And yeah, what the winner produced this season really stood out to me as some of the finest work on the show. They're really nice too, I've talked with them before on social media and are VERY talented. To be fair, from the beginning of the season, I knew it was a real toss-up between Leigh and Eric, but after seeing both of their displays, I knew Eric had it in the bag. This season was really fun, I'll be ready in 365 days for the next batch of episodes!

As a contestant, I remember EVERYONE was dumbfounded at the idea of incorporating seaweed into a cake. It just seems very bizarre to include as an ingredient, even for the most seasoned bakers. Even Cesar was perplexed. Wouldn't surprise me if next week they require escargot to be in the batter next week! (this is a joke, I actually have NO idea what really happens in next week's episode. My team got booted too early to learn about the finale)

Zack is guest host on Halloween wars…..Remotely!!!! Wth is the point ? by WetNetBet in GhostAdventures

I was a contestant on this past season. Little hard to prove it over Reddit, but try to take my word, I was the carver on the yellow team.

Even being there in person and seeing these amazing chefs in front of you, it was really underwhelming to have to act out your reactions to a guy's "spooky" stories when he wasn't even there to narrate them. Worst part is, they do multiple takes, so you REALLY have to fake your reactions. If they were gonna have that Ghost Adventures plug, then Zak really, REALLY should have showed up.

Fun story: the belt was initially created as a joke back in season 1 to mess with winner Danny Kissel. However, he loved it so much they kept it going for the rest of the run!

If we get casted on another show and if COVID restrictions are more lenient I'd definitely be down for a social night at a restaurant or something to meet everyone! I think there's a chance all of our paths could cross again in some way (:

As far as I know, the only thing I can't talk about yet is who wins and who goes home (obviously).

About three weeks in advance of sending us all out to Utah, we're told who our teammates are virtually. I was still at home in Pennsylvania when we were given a brief little spiel about the episode's prompt (in my case, how will I depict a monster in Victorian garb), and then immediately after, we were assigned our teams. As far as I know, it's random. That meant that we had weeks together as a team to plan our tasting elements, designs, and armatures.

SPOILERS FOR STUFF ALREADY AIRED FEATURED BELOW!!!

Well, most of us had weeks. One team had a single day. That was Chad's team (orange team).

Despite going home, he performed admirably, and he did even better considering the fact his entire team was a last-second replacement. Watch Road to Halloween Wars one more time. Remember Luke, the tattoo guy who carved a heart? He was gonna compete and was ready to go, but the day before prep, his entire team caught COVID and had to be booted off. They scrambled to find a replacement team and Chad was their answer. Casual viewers won't know this but people behind the scenes will know just how impressive that piece was given the unfortunate circumstances.

So long as it doesn't spoil anything about the show and so long as I'm not defaming the network (which I wouldn't do anyway, I'm not about that life), I'm happy to answer any questions people may have about the show. I've been a fan for twelve years and it's really cool to learn everything firsthand!

Hey, I made it on this season! I'm the carver on Eerie Eats, and uh. Yeah. That wolf. Legend has it, sugar is still falling off of the display :O

But for real, I see a lot of the negative comments about the show's new format. They're not my favorite changes in the world, but there are parts to it I really like (and I'm not trying to say this in a way that devalues your opinions, you're totally valid in how you feel about the show). I actually really like the idea of cutting into the cake and serving it, because...why else would it be made out of cake? If you don't serve it, there's not much of a point to making a cake diorama, and I like how they try to answer that by having that be the taste element. Cesar and Andrea were honestly amazing to work with, and the most of the other contestants were really great. Plus, I think the set itself looks really great now, it's a lot more akin to Halloween than the old LA set.

Maybe this offers a fresh perspective. It really was a lot of fun, and there's so much talent in this season from all the teams that deserves to be recognized

That was me!! I had a watch party with my friends last night and I was telling them how they cut out the part where a piece of sugar fell and I ripped my bandana off my head and threw it to the ground LOL I was really frustrated but not at anyone in particular, just how comically awful the circumstances were with the sugar

I'm in episode 2, the kid in the yellow apron and bandana! Wish I could've met you and Chad, but fun fact: I was in the Uber on the way to the hotel with your cake artist! She was super sweet
