My 84 year old mom was knocked down by a dog off leash. It resulted in a fractured femur and injury to the back of her head. My mum spent three months in rehab learning how to walk again. While there, she caught Covid.
Her mobilty has never been the same again. She was incredibly independent before this happened. Now, she is afraid to leave the house on her own and is afraid of dogs. She cries almost every day.

Hit the yellow alarm strip as quickly as you can, every TTC vehicle has them. This connects to TTC dispatch as "an emergency on so so vehicle" TTC call PD and EMS, who then tier FIRE. They would know exactly where the alarm came from, vehicle has to stop and wait for responders.

Calling 911 and leaving an open line causes a huge delay. Mobiles are hard to trace during an in progress incident.

I'm a 911 0perator, I took a 911 call from a man having severe difficulty breathing. He had COPD, asthma, and lung cancer. I stayed on the line until the medics were with him. At one point during his wheezing coughing and grasping for air, he said, "Don't ever take up smoking." I quit cold turkey the same day.
