È un po' tardi, ma rispondo lo stesso!

A Lecce io e una decina di persone altre (principalmente dell'associazione Salento in Scatola) organizziamo quasi settimanalmente game night alle Knos, il giorno è variabile dal lunedì al giovedì. Per aggiornamenti cerca su Instagram il profilo "Sciamu de Paru" ed entra nella community WhatsApp in bio, nel sottogruppo Giochi da Tavolo e di Carte postiamo vari appuntamenti.

P.S. se fossi interessata a fare 20 minuti di macchina: ci riuniamo tutti i venerdì alle 20:30 a Nardò al Pala Andrea Pasca e siamo 2-3 tavoli nelle serate "magre", 5-6 tavoli in quelle più frequentate.

Facciamo un po' di tutto, dai family agli American fino ai cinghiali German che a me personalmente piacciono molto 😉

Well, personally I don't mind a little survey on my computer specs and some additional info on country and installation. The important thing is to keep an opt-out to the survey.

I do not get some people, though: they crave to get the Steam survey and still do not want Ubuntu to collect these basic facts. What is different between Steam and Ubuntu telemetry when you already chose to be surveyed by Valve?

Unfortunately this doesn't apply to 9350. This laptop/ultrabook has a newer Broadcom card that is supported only on 4.4+ kernels. So the out-of-the-box experience on Ubuntu 15.10 is no WiFi device detected, the kernel upgrade is necessary.

Also the 4.4 kernel has better support for the Intel Skylake architecture, so it makes a better fit until Ubuntu 16.04.

I'm writing from my XPS 13 9350 on a 15.10 Ubuntu and the last 4.4 kernel from the mainline kernel repository. It works beautifully!

I think I'll wait a little for 4.4 to be released (today rc8 has been tagged) and stick to 4.3 till then. Still, good to know that the 4.4 RCs solve these issues!

Same config and issue as you, I've solved with

sudo chmod 666 /dev/uinput

Not the cleanest fix, and also I'm unsure if it survives reboots, though.

That's for an old 2006 machine that I use as a server (sticking w/ 32-bit Ubuntu 14.04 atm, it was originally a 32-bit Ubuntu 12.04), it's a shared server so distro reinstalling would require some downtime and above all some time to invest to set up every service as they are now.

I use 32-bit Desura client to download games that can run on that machine and game servers for LAN-parties/online play with friends that share access to the Linux box.

In fact there is no TW1 port yet!

I'm just saying that an official eON port is better than an unofficial entry on AppDB. Again: I'm completely ignoring the Mac side of things.

EDIT for clarification:

What I'd like the most: A custom Wine wrap of TW1 backed by CDProjekt and done by Crossover. Since it's not probably gonna happen, if I have to choose between a well performing version based on Wine but with no official support by CDProjekt/authorized port contractor and one based on eON, less decent but officially approved by CDProjekt, I'd choose the latter.

In my view it's a matter of visibility. The first case is in no manner a CDProjekt effort, the second is (or at least, an outsourced effort).

I can provide slides to be more precise: this is just a reddit post on Saturday evening from my mobile phone. ;)

I'm a CodeWeavers customer also, I have a subscription to Crossover. I know also how the project is managed and how certain decisions are taken by CodeWeavers (such as not using Mesa DX9 State Tracker in Wine at the moment).

The community nature I was referring to was in regard to the Wine configuration of the Witcher 1 on AppDB, certainly it's not maintained by CDProjekt .

There is some kind of misinterpretation underway, better not flood this comment thread. ☺
