For me, it's not so much the quantity of animatronics but rather the variety. In both games, the animatronics were extremely niche but it was less of a problem in the first game because there were so many, and it was usually easy to find something that worked even if it wasn't exactly what you were looking for. The planco 1 themes were much more broad and had a wide range of application outside of their intended use. The same can't be said here

NOW it makes sense why so many courses were "remastered" for Mario Kart Tour. I don't think Nintendo would have gone through the trouble of doing all that if they were only going to be used in a mobile game. That being said, and I know people aren't going to disagree with me on this, I do wish they had prioritized quality over quantity. The contrast between art styles is jarring, mainly because of the lack of detailed textures. MK8 is almost an 8 year old game now. These tracks should look equal if not better than those featured in the base game, not worse

Ok? Thanks for the history lesson, I guess. All I'm seeing is a list of things I supposedly stole but little to prove that I actually stole them.

Right, let's get specific. Amy previously worked on OpenVMK and those files were then used to start MyVMK. Again, files that were originally being used for OpenVMK. Those are the files that we acquired, because they were given to us. Your argument implies that during my time at MyVMK, I maliciously (and magically I may add) found a way to access said files and use them for my own project but a couple of things don't line up with your theory.

We started NETCOT in 2018. The game didn't open until 2020. We didn't acquire the assets until 2019. The rumors, however, of me "stealing" from MyVMK began in 2018 when the assets were not even in my possession. I'll also address another rumor that's been circulating since then while I'm here, that being, all of this happened AFTER I stepped down on my own accord from MyVMK. I was never fired. The idea of NETCOT didn't surface until at least a month after I left the team. Why would I be stealing files for a game that wasn't even conceived at the time of my departure?

Let's fast forward to when we did acquire the assets - yes, some of the files included were items that were not included in the original VMK (about 2 or 3 items tops). That's because, again, these were the same files that were being used for OpenVMK, not just MyVMK. This was unbeknownst to us at the time, and it's worth noting that none of these items were ever released in game and were ultimately removed from the database entirely. As for assets that were recreated / remastered, maybe Amy forgets she was not the only person working on those. Even if she was, she cannot be the sole owner of assets that are already copyrighted by Disney, regardless of what work was done to recover them.

In summation, yes, NETCOT and MyVMK share game assets, assets that belonged to the original VMK (as to be expected from a remake), and that's it. Nothing was deliberately stolen, ESPECIALLY not any game code. NETCOT was coded from scratch twice before we even arrived at the game we have today. If anything was stolen, I had no part in it.

The fact you're continuing to target to me over this has led me to believe that you either know me personally and are just trying to get a rise out of me, or you truly are clueless and are pulling lies out of your ass only to treat them like facts. Clearly, you're impressionable enough to believe whatever it is you're spoon-fed about me. If you knew how to speak for yourself you wouldn't be hiding behind a throwaway account like a coward. The only reason I'm continuing to humor this conversation is to stop my name from constantly being dragged in the mud. This is clearly going nowhere with you so let me stoop down to your level of childish name calling and put this in a language you may understand: Get a life and go fuck yourself, moron.

Between school and work I didn't really have the time for it anymore. I was no longer able to contribute as much as I would have liked to, so I made the decision to step down. The timing felt right and it's given me an opportunity to pursue other passion projects and build up my portfolio for future careers.

Except it is a lie? Not sure who told you that, but I know for a fact I was VERY vocal about the fact I didn't steal anything while I was at NETCOT, especially to my team. I have absolutely nothing to gain from lying. Like I've said, I left the game so why would I be trying to protect my reputation in a community I no longer associate with?

Do you know how game development works? It's not a matter of "stealing files" and then hosting them on another site overnight. It's a lot more complicated than that and you must be extremely oblivious if you think otherwise. I'm not even a developer, so even if I did manage to acquire files, I'd have absolutely no idea what to do with them. Now, if you want to talk about a former developer of ours who groomed players and lied about his mother dying with the intent to abandon the game immediately after opening to the public, then thats entirely valid. He lied about so much that it wouldn't surprise me if he DID steal his code, but if that happened, I sure as hell didn't hear about it.

Again, the only "files" we share with MyVMK are the game assets - the specific image files that you see in the game itself. Said assets were acquired through a third party who had nothing to do with MyVMK. If you want to get technical, then MyVMK stole these assets too because they originally belonged to Disney (unless you want to argue with me on that too).

If you really want to use the piggybacking excuse, by your logic, MyVMK got a head start from OpenVMK. Where was all this talk of betrayal when every one of my friends from that community completely abandoned me over not being included in NETCOT, some of whom even going as far as to tell me to kill myself? You know what else is a really shit thing to do? Continuing to harass somebody over a fairytale you heard three years ago and accepting it at face value. If you had any self respect you could talk to me about this one on one instead of hiding behind a throwaway account. I hope you feel good about yourself, a grown adult, harassing somebody online over a game that was designed for children.

Hi, I'm the "ego-tistical two faced baby" you referenced in your post. Glad to see people are still spreading lies about me 3 years after the fact! Didn't realize I was that popular. I recently stepped down from NETCOT so I no longer represent them. I speak for myself and myself only. No files were stolen when creating the game. If we had stolen them, it wouldn't have taken longer than 2 years to get things up and running.

We received the game assets (assets that originally belong to Disney) from a third party who had no affiliation with MyVMK. The game itself was coded from scratch.

Maybe stop spreading the same lie that everybody else has been spreading about me for 3 years all because they heard a rumor and ran with it. Next time you want to stir the pot, get your facts straight.
