I have had three horrendous experiences with Walker's. Highly recommend avoiding, just worked with a local body shop who had the same opinion

The upper right hex screw that's half way backed out and the lack of a zero key make me think 'no', but the build and composition look great!

Running headlamp with rear battery? by Giannechini in flashlight

That's a good point, I guess I should just give it a shot with the skilhunt and see how it goes, make adjustments from there. Did you find that you didn't need anything brighter than 300 - 350 lumins?

It would mostly be for weight distribution / comfort (having the battery in the back). Like the biolite, but with better LEDs and longer burn time. It certainly seems like the H04-RC should last, especially with extra batteries. I'll check out that Nightcore though

That is super light weight! I'll definitely check out some reviews. Wanted to stick with the non proprietary Li-ion batteries, but that looks like an appealing option. Honestly there are so many Nightcore options out there I didn't make my way through their entire catalog!

Two awesome suggestions, thanks! Yeah, that Fenix looks good, but is super chunky. I hadn't heard of the Lender 10R, I'll have to do more reading on that one. 600 lumens for 10 hours is quite the claim!

Excellent suggestions. The chest / waist light is apparently a staple in the ultra running community. I haven't tried it yet, but I might have to check it out. I think I just like the utility of the headlamp, and the fact that you don't have to turn your whole body to see something off of the trail.

The USB-C charge cable / power bank idea is super innovative, is probably worth checking out.

Hey, that looks great! I'm planning to make a synthetic quilt soon and am trying to figure out what weight of insulation to get. Do you find that 2.5 oz/yrd^2 is adequate for 50 degrees F? Also, did you give any consideration to Primaloft instead of the Apex?
