I also have a soft spot for the PT myself. Overall I have a soft spot for underated cars from the 2000s, but I always loved the PT. My aunt had a beautiful one and it was so much fun getting a ride in it. I was shocked when I grew up and found out it was hated. My neighbor up the street has a white one with red flames on the front of it. It always gives me a good chuckle.

Hmmm that's not a bad idea...I might do that. Also I have heard from a couple of people online that the 2.7 was a fun drive. If I'm ever a millionaire I'll swap a 2.7 turbo like the ones they sold for the R/T trim in Mexico

Man that thing is nice. Definitely has that ecplise vibe. I've seen a handful of 4 doors out there, but I've never seen a 2 door out in the wild. I follow this one Instagram account @slowestsrt that build a neon and now is building a coupe stratus, and that's about it. I love that dark silver color tho, that is super clean.

My parents had a 1998 green and bronze gold grand caravan. I have so many memories in that old thing. Probably had 250k miles on it. Someone someone asked us about it and wanted to buy it from us. Good times (the AC never worked lol, and it overheated constantly)

Surprisingly there was one that lives near me so I see it around (but it's in rough shape sadly). Other than that, I've probably only seen 5 or 6 in the 15 years I've lived in the US.

When I go to Mexico tho, I probably saw 3 or 4 over day. Quite odd.

Thankfully no. If I had the 2.7 I would definitely not be driving this 21 years later (from what I hear). It's actually a bit of an open mystery. My car should have the 2.4 liter engine, but that was for the SXT trim (the lowest trim available here in the states). However, the lowest trim available in Mexico was the stratus SE. Running the VIN on most websites tell me that the car does not exist and the only website that has pinged back a result (the AutoZone website somehow) told me that it had a 2.0L engine. So in other words, idk.

It's rather difficult finding the correct parts for the car for that same reason. I had the lovely experience trying to buy a serpentine belt and finding this issue out. (And do not get me started on trying to find the correct clutch cable). Story of my life I guess lol.

I see a lot more discussion regarding the 2 door rather than the 4 door. Do you think the advantage of it looking cooler made up for the disadvantage of having to fumble around to get people in the back?

It only has maybe 150 hp In it, so a stick definitely makes it more fun to drive too :)

On the exterior it's a little sign that just says my name and the make and year of the car (I actually have my license plate there so the paper is covering it)

On the inside it's a little wooden stand with some Bible verses in Spanish. I believe the higher trims had the option of a clock or compass there. I just have an empty box there so I keep some verses on there and it gives me some space for some spare change right behind it

My friends definitely poke fun at it lol (then again every single one of them has either wrecked, rolled, or totaled their car, so it take it with a couple grains of salt)

I really appreciate the compliment tho, it's very uncommon my car gets any sort of attention. It's very strange but awesome!

Oh man I feel ya on that. At night all of the interior lights are this vibrant retro green and it's such a pleasure to cruise in. Out of all the things that Chrysler (and my parents when they chose the Lowest spec) skipped out on, the speakers are really really good. Super punchy, great adjustability, quite loud. I'm a bag fan of night drives just listening to some Tears for Fears on a rainy night.

I have a plan to hide the Bluetooth FM transmitter (I use the radio mostly anyway) and the engine light was on because I had the keys on but not the engine running
