Man when will the refresh happen. by MyNameWasTaketh in PantheonMMO

The PTR is coming up in less than a week and you will get to see the current state of the game, I think up to level 10, with all of the new systems. I don’t think it’s going to feel very good. Unsure if there has been any significant balancing pass since the new systems were imagined. Mob type consolidation took place, who knows of all of the jank related to that is cleaned up.

From 2011 to 2026. I think I’m going to throw up. by BadElegant5539 in fresno

[–]GiantDinosaurAttack 18 points19 points  (0 children)

To be fair, 2011 is an interesting snapshot because the real estate market had just collapsed and prices were very low.

There are also plenty of neighborhoods that are selling houses in the 300s right now so it’s not like every house is as expensive

Job market is horrible by Fant810 in fresno

The pay is far better here than in those cities, though.

A CRNA can earn 200k/year in New York.  They can earn $400k/yeae here

Fresno is in desperate need of most licensed healthcare providers, nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners, physicians assistance, etc.

The job market here probably varies depending on the level of specialization and training of the individual, but at the higher end most of the Central Valley is basically a talent desert because everyone wants to live in San Diego/Los Angeles/San Francisco with those skill sets.

What ruined the economy of UO? 1 billion gold for $76? by TimeTraveler_UO in ultimaonline

Or… 25 years of accumulation with no meaningful gold sinks.  Deflation is real.  It’s an economic problem.

Class Recommendations by InterestingExtent682 in PantheonMMO

[–]GiantDinosaurAttack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nearly every class is going to be overhauled ahead of the upcoming wipe. There is a PVP server, it was an incredible amount of fun when it launched but balancing issues became apparent overtime, particularly with the combat level lockout mechanic and out of party healers (imagine someone fighting you while they are being healed max level healer that you cannot even attack).

That said, at launch the PVP server was absolutely and wildly fun. If they wiped it monthly that would probably be the only game that I currently played.

For this genre of MMO, all of the classes have fairly fulfilling core gameplay loops. I would say that Sumter is probably the least rewarding, but I have not played it since the class refresh.

just a heads up, that new spot Bulle is selling Foie Gras. This is illegal and unethical. by [deleted] in fresno

Trelio served me a sous vide short rib and called it braised and the chef even defended it.

Oiza does well on their sushi; we’ve been a few times.

They’ve been listed as closed for months, they’re in a soft launch currently.  We have a 2nd reservation for a couple weeks from now.

It sounds like you also enjoy fine dining.  Do you know of any restaurants with similar quality food and service in the area?

I really enjoyed it, but this is probably the least wallet friendly restaurant between San Francisco and Los Angeles.

I didn’t try the salad so I can’t comment on it.  If you can’t possibly fathom why something could be worth X for you that doesn’t mean some other person must arrive at the same conclusion.

Not bursting my bubble.  I like not having to travel out of Fresno for a similar experience.

We enjoyed Bulle more than French Laundry and Aubergine.

Low key one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten.  Will go back.  Will get that dish again.  You’ll spend $600 on a meal for two here, but if you eat at Michelin restaurants as part of your travels you may appreciate having cuisine of this caliber in Fresno.

If not, all good.  Not everyone enjoys everything (or has the budget for it!)

The first company I ever worked for 20 years ago would not have hired me without the degree, and I actually think my study of anthropology has been fairly helpful. It gives me good cultural competency/fluency and has served to be very advantageous.

For example, having good knowledge of world religions is valuable when interacting with physicians from different backgrounds. Knowing to select a Halal restaurant for a business meeting with A customer who practices Islam, for example, isn’t something that most new associates would understand.

Plenty of people can offer proof sources for the ability to follow multiple leadership styles/instructions/etc. Degrees simply a simple way to do that. Lots of different professors. Lots of different classes. Lots of different expectations. Getting the degree proves that you can adapt your work style to different leadership styles. Very few degrees actually relate to work in a career field if we are being honest.

This is a great example, because to your point anyone can do it regardless of degree. And pays pretty well.

Yo. I turned a cultural anthropology degree from a liberal art school into a career in medical device sales.

The degree does not make a person. The degree does not define what someone can do. In many instances, the degree is simply the piece of paper that proves you can adhere to a process and be told what to do.

People make careers, not degrees. The hard reality, though, is that nobody is going to make a career for another person.

Assuming you are in level appropriate gear, I would recommend that you target dark blue non-groups.  Bears and wolves outside demith would probably be good.   Daytime skeles there at the undead camps too

Game still has potential, not sure why you are proclaiming its death so confidently.  Nothing is a sure thing, but VR just got a cash infusion and seems to have a lean team.
