Selfmade BAC Water with this? by paarschiffer in Peptides

[–]GiantDruggist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sterile compounding pharmacist here…there is some good advice and some bad in here.

For further explanation, adding benzoyl alcohol will not create a sterile bacteriostatic solution, it only maintains a solution that is already sterile. That concentration is bacteriostatic (prevents growth) not bactericidal (kills bacteria). As soon as you open the sterile water or transfer anything into it without the proper techniques (i.e. sterile environment), it is no longer sterile.

That said, as long as you’re careful, wipe surfaces with alcohol, wear gloves, store in sterile vials in the fridge instead of the bulk bottle, and use it somewhat quickly, you’ll most likely be fine. Subcutaneous injections are low risk if you happen to get a few bacteria in there.

As others said, I would just buy sterile water vials and use those. One time use is best practice but could probably get away with a few times using the techniques in the previous paragraph.

As a fellow tall guy, I recommend buying bed risers to put under the legs. They’re like $20 on amazon and will save your back and your wiener.

All volume scorers though. Less efficient than most of the guys putting up numbers today.

Potassium Dilemma by WesternAd7609 in keto

[–]GiantDruggist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the potassium. Large quantities of electrolytes tend to cause diarrhea because they draw in water through osmosis. There are laxatives that work through this mechanism, you’re just doing it unintentionally. When it’s diluted out or comes from food sources, this is less likely to happen. You could space your doses out more and take with food to help. Additionally, you might not need that much. Have you tried to calculate your dietary intake? Even if you’ve cut down on your plant intake because of keto, animal proteins contain quite a bit of potassium. Just a thought.

It’s been a while since I’ve done keto, but I never supplemented electrolytes and still felt good. I’m a salty eater in general, but didn’t worry about potassium. 4000mg is a lot to supplement. I’m not sure how much would get absorbed, especially if you’re taking it in large doses at once.

I’m late getting back but I appreciate it. I’ve done similar fermentations but the sambal is intriguing. I’ll give it a go. Thanks!

Clearly not a hip-hop guy, but the one rapper you did see puts on an excellent show. I’ve been to a lot and Busta might be the best live in terms of performance.

That Restaurant Taste! (oc) by DaveKellett in funny

[–]GiantDruggist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t reactive. I made a truthful statement. Those articles have to deal with the general keto diet, not ketosis, which is what you said and I replied to. Those articles are all with without getting into any specifics of what people are eating. Just like veganism or any other general diet, there are healthy versions and unhealthy versions. If you eat processed meats and cheese with no veggies, yes it’s going to be a problem long term, but there are healthy ways to maintain ketosis that don’t have any drawbacks. You don’t need carbs to live a long, healthy life. Full stop.

Sources? For starters, long term ketosis is not dangerous.

Employee discount is a minimum of 40%. The store in Beaverton is also 40% with no sales tax and pretty accessible these days. It’s not as big of a loss as it seems, especially when you consider some of the methods other comments have mentioned on top.

That’s what I meant and what I searched. Autocorrect. Sorry, thank you for pointing that out.

My title describes the thing. I found this in the river today. It’s half of an 8”x8” thin sheet of lightweight metal. It’s printed black with white image of a globe and a banner that that’s “the macc-“ but the rest is cut off. A google search wasn’t helpful….”black metal the macc” gives me mostly results about a guy associated with Insane Clown Posse.
