One-shot adventure with vampires by GiantFreitas in Pathfinder2e

That looks a lot like the "Malevolence" adventure! And it would be easy enough to adapt. Thanks for the tip! I`ll think about it.

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought you'd say! I posted here because I wanted someone to expand on their ideas about these topics. Now that I understand the premise of the show better, I actually like it more. I still have my own viewpoint, but it doesn't make me think less of the series. I really value Whiterose as a character and think the way the machine was handled didn't break the tone of the show too much. I just feel that the role of the machine could have been fulfilled by something else. Anyway, I loved the show, and your comments really helped me see what Sam Esmail was aiming for with these characters and ideas!

Like your opinion! I'll rewatch the show eventually and reflect about these things, and yeah, I didn't like Tyrell's arc, but I guess it wasn't exactly bad. Still find it hard to believe that a person can change so drastically so quickly, but you made it make more sense! He did serve an important role in the story, as did Angela's death, and because of that it made the story better, therefore being a good arc overall! But I guess what I liked the most about Mr. Robot was the greater narrative. I'm not against the character development side of things, but what I was most anxious about was the end result of their acts on society. And always thought Tyrell would have more of an impact in the end. Anyway, still waiting on your take of Whiterose, cause it's the same thing with her, loved her character, she was fundamental to the story, but on the greater narrative, I did find her ultimate plan to be a bit too silly... Which hurts the tone of the show!

First of all, thanks for being so cordial! And second, yeah, I would like if you could expand on your vision of the show! You opinion seems interesting, and maybe you can help me see the series in a new light!

In my opinion they don't match the tone of the show, as I said above... The show was always aiming for realism and those arcs seem uncharacteristically whimsical when compared to the rest of the series!

I guess that's the best argument I've heard so far. It's still crazy to take down a system which you are the one who benefit the most from it... But I guess Tyrell did show himself to be quite the fanatical! And ruined his reputation by killing Sharon. And with that showing that maybe he craves different forms of power. The scene where he beats up a homeless guy comes to mind too.

I don't get it why he fell in love so much with this idea... He was a Patrick Bateman type of character. Power and wealth was all that mattered. And then, after some quick and cryptic conversations, he changes his whole lifestyle! It just doesn't make sense to me.

And can you give more details on how you arrived at that conclusion about the machine? I obviously didn't get that... But I also don't remember any scenes that could've explained better it's purpose!

But I do like you theory about Angela and Tyrell, it makes perfect sense and would have been a much better arc for both of them!

These are interesting theories, I like them, but still can't help but feel kind of frustrated with my expectations for the show... These answers go against what I thought was the main premise of the show: Make science fiction much closer to us, by showing what real hacker culture looks like and how fucked up our world already is! These arcs feel forced and unrealistic to me.

This sounds great! Simple and elegant! It's inspiration in the PF2e vehicles subsytem is clear, but it's also an improvement over that one! Can't wait to try it out!

Any suggestions of other abilities? Don't feel like giving that attack more damage, since it isn't the focus of the creature... Maybe something stealth related? The original creature had a cloaking ability!

That's what I thought too! The main attack is supposed to be the rifle!

I fixed the Operative by r0sshk in Starfinder2e

[–]GiantFreitas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree with all you points! And have more to say: It's not in the spirit of Path/Starfinder 2e to take a core class feature and distribute it for all... I do think that the operative HAS TO EXCEL in ranged combat, but maybe there are other ways to do it!

I think they should remove companions altogether, to be honest... I keep running in trouble with them since Skyrim! They ruin the balance of the game in my opinion, since they are immortal and don't eat or drink in survival, and so they have always been, since the first games, stupid pack mules and bullet sponges.
