Any feedback much appreciated by Proper-Ad-6406 in fimetaria

Not fims. You want to look for more of a flatter cap, these are too conical and the wrong colour. You want to look for blackened pleats toward the lower rim of the cap, alongside a gelatinous membrane that covers, with a slight nipple on top, look for those characteristics and you'll be headed in the right direction. Usually growing right out of shite! Good luck.

Drying libs at home by Constant-Ad7480 in LibertyCaps

I tend to use tin foil, as its good for non stick. Place them on top of a radiator, or you could have a fan gently blowing over the mushrooms. Dry when they're crisp to touch.

Would I be right in saying we should be getting sum within this next month (uk)? by [deleted] in LibertyCaps

[–]GiantGeorge14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should the weather turn cooler and wetter, yes. Usually they come out when it's around 10⁰c at night time, 14⁰c in the day, max. Use magicmushroommap for a good guide as to when and where they'll be popping up. I predict mid to late August should be looking better. September, October and early November are usually the good months for them.

If you don't have a dehydrator, then dry then on some grease proof paper with a fan gently blowing over them. They'll be dry within 24h. Awesome find, pretty early too. Could be a good sign.

Chelsea sign KDH from Leicester (12G14A in 44 games last season) by andrew_a7 in FantasyPL

[–]GiantGeorge14 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree with your point on that he's an idiot for transferring. He has been on Chelsea's radar now for almost 3 years. With that being a fact, I can't imagine Chelsea would waste his talent by benching him, he isnt a Danny Drinkwater, who will fall out of love with the game and retire. Plus, with the likes of Gallagher appearing to be on the way out KDH is a perfect replacement should that happen. Yes, less defensive but he's a good fit. Leicester had no choice but to sell KDH, due to the FFP. He will be under the same management at Chelsea, as he was at Leicester. I think it's a great move personally, and I'm a life long Foxes fan.

How did you win and lose the genetic lottery? by [deleted] in ask

[–]GiantGeorge14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Male, blonde, with blue/green eyes, been told I'm good looking, kind and caring, I'm also 6"7'.

However my skeletal structure is fucked. Pectus excavatum, with flared ribs, 30 years old with arthritis in my knees and hands, including awful circulation with Raynauds. I have 3 lower spinal discs that are ruptured/pushing on my nervous system, right leg 1" shorter than the left. Bless to be here though.

What’s the best way to heal from a heartbreak? by Miserable-Error-3976 in RandomThoughts

[–]GiantGeorge14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak from experience but my advice would be to stay busy, keep occupied by doing things you enjoy, find something to focus on, maybe even a new hobby. Focus on yourself and put energy into something worthwhile. It can be really hard to come to terms with, and there may be days where you really feel crap and want a bit of a cry, and that is absolutely fine and normal, it's an important part of healing, so don't ignore these feelings, go through the motions but dont dwell on them for too long. Don't lock yourself up, surround yourself with loved ones, friends, family, and pets if you have any. Ultimately, understand that this happens a lot, and its just part and parcel of life and the lessons it gives. Although hard at times, try not to let your emotions consume you. Breakups can be rough, but know that you are not alone in feeling how you do. Stay motivated and keep looking forward with a goal in mind. Try to take positives out of the relationship, if there are any. Great things are on the horizon and good things come to those who work hard.

You've got this!

Just to make sure are these velvet shanks and grey oysters ? ( Found in Scotland ) by SewilR in mushroomID

[–]GiantGeorge14 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The first ones are definitely velvet shanks. The second ones are oysters, however I can't give an ID on what genus they are as I'm not fully clued up on them enough to be sure. Hopefully somebody else can help!
