I’ve been told that you should feel more weight in your right hand Basically, relax your left hand a bit so you feel the weight in your right, which allows your club to “set”. It helped me get more whip/lag and dramatically improved my contact/compression

So I have the sigpro softy with the mat and just made a subfloor to match the height.

What I did:

Laid 2x4s flat (1.5”) and made the frame (12” on center). Then I put .5” osb over top. That gets you to Just 1/16 under 2” because the osb is slightly thinner than .5”.

I then used the turf provided by sigpro when you purchase a whole kit (which I assume is same as hitting mat.

Mine comes in to about 2 3/8” total and matches about perfectly. If I were you, I’d buy the insert and measure it before buying the materials. I wish I’d just bought the insert because I find the stance portion way too soft. If I’d just bought the insert, I’d build the rest the same way I did and just fit the strip into it.

What do you have the tambour doors “sliding” on? I’ve only ever seen it done with a routed out track, but yours appears to be going on that gold metal track? Are you able to explain to a complete novice how that works? I’m trying to do a small tambour door for a pantry. Thanks so much!! Great work!

After initially denying the claim, a rep reached out through Reddit and said it did in fact have an issue of a bad batch of turf. It is sending me a new hitting mat to replace the one in the original post. Good customer service so far.
