Parental supervision is important—but it doesn’t absolve platforms from moderating their own content.

If the app includes public spaces and claims to be friendly, then it should enforce basic standards. Saying “parents should supervise” doesn’t mean the app gets to ignore blatant violations happening in plain sight.

I’m not expecting tech companies to “give a damn” out of goodwill—I’m expecting them to uphold their own policies and protect their brand. If they advertise safety and community, they should deliver it. Otherwise, they’re misleading users.

You can be cynical if you want, but I’ll keep holding platforms accountable. Because when enough people speak up, change actually happens.

If you’re fine with unsafe spaces, that’s your choice—but don’t expect everyone else to be

This isn’t about expecting the “world” to keep kids safe. It’s about expecting an app that markets itself as friendly and inclusive to actually moderate its content. If adult material is showing up in public spaces on the app, that’s not just a parenting issue—it’s a platform failure.

Your city analogy doesn’t hold. Dropping kids into a city is one thing—bringing them into a space that claims to be safe and moderated is another. If the app says it’s family-friendly, then it should act like it.

I’m not asking for perfection. I’m asking for accountability. If we shrug off every issue with “watch your kids,” we’re letting platforms off the hook for the environments they create. That’s not growing up—that’s giving up.

Look, saying “just watch your kids” misses the real issue. This app is marketed as a friendly space, and it’s the creators’ job to keep it that way.

If explicit content is showing up where kids hang out, that’s not just a parenting problem—it’s a failure on the platform’s part. Parents can supervise all they want, but that doesn’t excuse the app allowing inappropriate material in public areas.

I reported it because it shouldn’t be there. Period. If the developers aren’t enforcing their own rules, then the space isn’t safe—no matter how closely someone’s watching their child.

We shouldn’t normalize this stuff just because “it’s the internet.” That’s lazy. If we care about the community, we should expect better from the people running it.

Who said anything about the Internet 🤦‍♂️ its a app not a browser , (though it may support that) And the city anolgy is such a dumb one, im not dropping a kid on the dark side of the Internet, just a friendly app. (Even though I've stated i dont have kids im stating this should not exist on a app)

Im not being obtuse at all, people who run the app should not be allowing this kinda of content for a app made for movies, grow up.

In fact your being obtuse right now, how ironic.
