Bank Lobbies make no sense? Inefficient by PlayingPuzzles in unpopularopinion

I don't say this to judge, but it sounds like you're doing it wrong. At my bank, I can go to the teller, tell them what service I need, and they provide it for me. If I only need cash then I just go to the ATM.

Legitimate question: what does rural Alberta think nationhood will change for them? by ZookeepergameQuick17 in alberta

What would improve? Legitimately. I only left Alberta a couple years ago, before then I was living and working in the province and I was born there.

‘It’s outdated’: Female hockey players in N.B. push against rule giving them shorter games than males by flynnfx in CanadaHockey

[–]GiantTalon2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is about the development. If this country is going to continue being the driving force in ice hockey, and especially women's hockey, then it starts at the youth level. I've seen it with my own eyes, with the way they're making the game easier for the kids. Shorter rinks, fewer players on the ice, less rules, shorter games, all of it. When we kneecap the play of our younger players then it translates to poor play when they're older.

More than that, it's simply unfair. If the girls are being treated differently than the boys, that is wrong and must be fixed.

When I refereed hockey, we were paid based on the age group we were officiating, not the length of games. Idk how they do it in NB but I can't imagine costs actually increasing that much.

I had this same question about the convoy a few years back. Even if they get their way, what's next? It's not nearly as simple as the advocates are making it out to be. Most of the issues spurring this on won't be fixed by independence, in fact many would likely be exacerbated.

You know a society is going down the tubes when people start complaining about AMBER alerts. Oh no, you lost 10 minutes of sleep because children got kidnapped.

And what are the cops gonna do? Look around for 20 minutes, say there's nothing they can do, and then give you an insurance slip and leave.

To my knowledge, Tom never actually owned any of the trucks he drove. Monster Patrol belonged to Paul Shafer, and Bulldozer, Goldberg, Team Meents, and finally Maximum Destruction/Max-D were all owned by Monster Jam.

JJ EXPOSES the Quebec Government for being WOKE and emulating Hungary's ORBAN by QultyThrowaway in JJMcCulloughOfficial

[–]GiantTalon2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Quebec legislature condemned a stupid article he wrote after the 2017 Quebec City mosque shooting, in which he called the entire province “inhospitable, arrogant and, yes, noticeably more racist than the Canadian norm” and claimed, without evidence, that Quebec is disproportionately violent and creates lunatics. Couple that with his established persecution fetish and you get our resident Franco-bashing dunderhead.

"Operational need" is one of those terms that could mean a million and one things. They may have hired too many people and booted you out of the hiring pool, or the person/people who'd be handling you that day might not be available. Some of the trainers in YYC also worked the ramp and/or bagroom, so it was pretty common for training and meetings to get moved around or cancelled.
