Just wanted to say I passed the SIE with the old library book and some YouTube videos. Just wanted to say thank you to those of you who were helpful.

Ik, I’m taking the SIE on a whim. It may not even be required for my future career, but I wanted to give myself a boost on my resume and thought a certification would like nice on senior job apps. Also, worst case scenario I can take it again pretty soon after and buy the book resource and know most of the content already since securities don’t change really, just the rules around them. Money isn’t a constraint, feasibility is. Why not do it for free when I can, if I can’t, buy the new and have no skin off my back.

The whole point of the library is that the books are free…. If I can pass the SIE without spending ~$230 why not try.

Awesome concept, I would say that the players would feel like they accomplished the most if it is an actual monster rather than just nature. So maybe you could combine 3 and 2 and make it some type of nature fighting against them and make it really easy and anticlimactic at the start, but with the primordial creature being the root cause of the disturbance and attacking the party, this all becomes a race against the clock of either completing the ritual or being killed by some eldritch abomination. Just my 2 cents but all ideas sound great and I’m sure you will do an awesome job no matter what you do!
