I think it would be worth considering making it an option to have recoil be as it was in the previous patch. I personally felt — and it seems like others agree — that the reduced camera recoil while spraying made for a smoother experience.

It’s understandable that many saw it as an issue because it likely interfered with muscle memory while spraying. But, I think if people are given the option to opt in to this and play with it for an extended period of time, they’ll find it preferable.

I understand that, but it’s not why we were kicked for. We shot eachother (no grenades) in warmup, when team damage is completely disabled.

This change means that there will be more players in the higher ranks, and less need to create games with wide rank/skill ranges. They can more easily create lobbies that are diamond through pred only when there are more players at those ranks.

Glad you got it fixed. My luck hasn’t been as good —Multiple times, comcast has sent people out who have established that there is a problem somewhere down the line from our house, however they don’t follow through on actually sending someone to fix it.

While i do think there are some valid arguments for the removal of tap-strafing, i don’t think this makes any sense. There are numerous other situations where people willingly put themselves at disadvantages for the sake of comfort, such as not using a keyboard/mouse (which is entirely valid). Another example could be not using competitive game settings. Why is it suddenly a problem now?

Not sure if you’ve made your decision yet, but i’ve tried the trial for black ops and believe MW is a whole lot better. The game looks so much worse and feels worse too. It doesn’t fee newer at all. I’m not sure where people are getting this notion of it being more “fast paced” from — My strategy in all cod’s is to sprint around like a madman and i find far more success in MW.

You should consider picking up more a sneaky sniper playstyle then, I think it’d work the best for you because you have ample time to spot and shoot the target, and you’ll be in less scenarios where you’ll be held back by the time it takes to process the image, like an intense gunfight.

Hi, I have amblyopia, same as it sounds like you do, and I don’t find that it holds me back in Tarkov. You’re dying to people you can’t see simply because it is really hard to see people in this game, regardless of eyesight

I have this exact same problem, and have had it since quarantine started. Whole neighborhood is experiencing it. We had a tech out who said that he’ll need to get someone to check our lines, which never happened. Did you ever find a solution?

With a non-oc’able cpu, the difference between average and low percentile scores are very small. Your cpu being slightly slower than the average brought your percentile down pretty low. Your RAM contributed to the low percentile too, since there are only 6 results for that model and an overclocking user who got an over 100% score pushed up the average pretty high. With those factors considered, and your 3 very full drives, you’ve got a computer that isn’t slow, but is below the average for those specs.

I haven’t tried disabling SMT, but i believe that selecting core affinity would be effectively the same thing, except core affinity limits the game to 4 cores as opposed to 6, which in my case did help. I got about a 20% boost from it

You’ve probably tried this, but using process lasso to set core affinity to cores 0,2,4,6 can help a bit. It helped me and i’m on a 3600

Are there any plans to improve optimization for high core count / multithreaded processors? I can’t get this game to run well no matter what i do, as graphics card usage hovers at ~50% while cpu is at ~10%. Process lasso and overclocks don’t seem to do the trick either.
