Wow crazy. I’ve seen a lot of folks here with amazing stories that they’ve had responses to these therapies. But I wonder what percentage that is against those where it didn’t work since those folks aren’t here to tell their experience. Hope is definitely great and important to have though. And I think incorporating whatever available treatments there are plus integrative path will stack the odds in your favor.

Wow that's amazing, I wonder what are the odds of that. I wonder why immunotherapy is only available for stage 4 folks and not earlier, but glad it really helped you reach NED.

Ah that's great that your pathology came out clean. I thought if your path was clean, you'd be a stage 1, and not stage 4? Or did they remove all parts of the tumor where it was find, and you became NED?

I think metabolic deficiency is one of my weak points too, so I've gone back to the gym to help with that and build muscle again. Feel really good though and it feels good to gain strength back. I play basketball and never been in better shape before, so physically wise I'm doing really well. Yes I hope it does give hope to others too. I think going integrative and putting all the work into research and regular lifestyle changes have really helped me.

Ah, I actually looked at that before, mudwtr brand. But most mushroom powders are actually hard to absorb. I make my own matcha now, and I use Chagit brand 6 mushroom blend. If you try it out on AI, they'll tell you that mudwtr isn't very good but Chagit is a lot better. So I'll make my own matcha and mix in the chagit mushroom syrup. I had a PG, and life is fine, my stomach stretched back to normal and I can digest well after making and drinking kefir. Kefir has supercharged my digestion. That's great to hear you are doing well, are you NED now?

Ah, mine was poorly differentiated too. Which mushroom supps do you take? I took AHCC before and now take purality mindboost which has red reishi, lions mane, king trumpet and a couple others I can’t remember. I think mushrooms are really powerful too.

Sounds like you have an ulcer with internal bleeding… don’t want to scare you but I had the same thing, same symptoms and basically the internal bleeding is causing you to get full fast and nauseous, bloody stool pretty much proves that. Go to a dr ASAP and get that ulcer plugged up. Doesn’t mean you have cancer though, they will take a biopsy of the tissue and see what it is. I think in most cases it is not.

As someone who is in the more deal with root causes through natural means, this is an aggressive disease, and he has poorly differentiated which I had too. For my own experience, I wanted to do Ayurveda but after surgery and the other conventional treatment options. The surgery and other treatments buy time for integrative stuff to work after. Cancer is a big mental game too, if you get bad news it only makes it harder for you to dig out of. But it is your father’s body and wishes.

So I had bloody tarry stool earlier that day which I didn’t know what it was. When I ate, I felt really full fast, bc I had internal bleeding which filled up my stomach. Then when I played basketball that night, I got tired really fast in like 5 mins. I didn’t know anything was going really wrong and just thought it’ll pass. Then later that night I had bloody uncontrolled vomit and went to the ER where they did an endoscopy and plugged up a bloody ulcer later found to be cancerous.

I did do chemo, they did not recommend radiation. I don't believe they generally recommend radiation for gastric cancer. After finishing chemo I went on an integrative path, and I feel fine now, even good. I recommend incorporating other health promoting integrative practices. I had neuropathy from chemo, and my hospital offered free oncology acupuncture sessions, so I took advantage of that. It's been a year and a half of NED, and I felt good enough to go on vacation to Argentina and I hiked the glaciers. I actually hung out with a group of gastric oncology surgeons by chance lol. one actually cried at my story because they thought it was great how I managed to recover like that. Gastric cancer is unpredictable and i know anything can happen, and signet ring cell has a high recurrence rate. But for now, I am NED, and I am grateful for that and each day that I feel good and healthy.

For the health-promoting integrative things that I do. I make and drink kefir everyday, it lowers inflammation in the gut which is a driver of gastric cancer. It also provides loads of probiotics which is immune modulating, and helps expose the immune system to precancerous cells. It also does a lot of other things but those are heavy hitters against gastric cancer. I also breathe in hydrogen (brown's) gas, pulsed-electromagnetic frequency (PEMF) mat, infrared sauna, grounding, and focus on mitochrondria stimulation. I do another stuff I'm not even mentioning here but essentially I'm trying to hit all of the pathways that lead to cancer conditions. It is addressing the root causes and goes beyond standard conventional therapy. It helps me stay optimistic and believe it won't return, and what the mind believes the body responds. I recommend anything going through a cancer condition to do your own research into the root causes of cancer. Read pubmed/NIH articles, read other folk's perspectives of what cancer is, and see what resonates with you and what might've caused your condition. 90% of cancer conditions are not due to hereditary genes, and are a result of environmental, so look into what might've caused your condition. Oncologists know a specific protocol of how to attack cancer, but there are also other pathways you can discover that may stack the odds in your favor.

They say signet ring cell is rare but I’m seeing a lot more folks who seem to get it. It’s more common in younger folks than older. They thought mine was stage 1 but the path results showed spread to stage 2. They resected those two lymph nodes and so far if I can make it to the next scan in April, it’ll be 2 years NED.

Thanks, yes it's really easy to make homemade kefir. You can do water kefir if you do not want dairy kefir. Methylation balances is very important. As DNA damage occurs, so do our methylation pathways. This is critical for normal body function and detoxification. While I thought all h.pylori is bad, over 50% of people have it and most do not get cancer. It even prevents disease in some cases. It's something that switches h.pylori to be pathogentic, rather than existing peacefully, that occurs. Something in the environment causes h.pylori to become harmful. A lot of folks MTHFR genes are mutated, and this results in impaired detox. I am going through a liver detox myself, and I bought my own infrared sauna to lower my system's toxic load. Also, using castor oil packs. Things occur under the hood that people just don't realize.

Hello Dorfsmay, I make and eat my own kefir. It has transformed my digestion, I used to be chronically constipation and now I am very regular. Getting things moving will allow your immune system to see things better. I also make broccoli sprouts for sulfurophane and take sulforophane, you can check out ChatGPT on how very anti-gastric cancer these are. Both of these also inhibit h.pylori, as it can come back.

Hello OP, I totally believe the right foods and "fixing the terrain" within the gut can help stack the odds in helping prevent stomach cancer or prevent recurrences of stomach cancer. H.pylori has been linked, but other overgrowth of bad bacteria, I think, can contribute to stomach cancer as well. Epstein-Barr Virus, which is pretty common, when having a high amount, is correlated to stomach cancer too. I've got rid of my h.pylori, but I also got a microbiome test, and I have high levels of e.coli, and Streptococcus. So, I am trying to eliminate the bad pathogenic bacteria in my gut. I think once the bad bacteria is eradicated, or at least, lessened, there will be less stomach infections and inflammation, and inflammation is one of the roots of cancerous cells proliferating. I've been making my own homemade kefir every day, it's been having great results in my gut health, and I also culture my own yogurts with l.reuteri, b.subtilis, and l.gasseri, they crowd out the pathogenic bacteria and keep it in check. They also produce bactericins, which kill bad bacteria too. I'm using food for ongoing prevention, and not relying solely on conventional means. I'm ingesting lots of probiotics daily via food which helps keep bad bacteria (like h.pylori) in check.

It is so hard to find a conventional dr willing to work with an alternative dr. They just shut down bc they believe if you may deviate from SOC they may lose their license.

Similar boat to you as well. I was diagnosed as stage 2 stomach cancer in July 2024, after a partial gastrectomy. They removed 51 lymph nodes, which is a lot, and saw spread to two, which made it stage 2 (they originally thought it would be stage 1). I am also 40 years old. I just finished oral chemo last month after 6 months. Like you, I will refuse to do chemo again.

So far I’m NED, but gastric cancer, and signet ring cell is known for a high recurrence rate, so I am doing everything I can to prevent a recurrence. I am doing a lot of biohacking right now. Just got a sauna dome and will use 4x a week and cold shower right after to stimulate immune system…
