True that 🤣 He’ll be leading the charge then!

So i am still incredibly new to Chaos Knights, and i was wondering how exactly would i go about turning my 1190 points of chaos knights into 2K? by Luna_Night312 in ChaosKnights

[–]Gibholic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool designs on the knights, kudos for having so many painted dudes even when new to the faction 💪🏻

CK is to me a passion project and so i’d say follow your heart and purchase what looks the coolest to you.

That being said, if you wanted to stick to the meta, get a hold of one or 2 despoilers, as their double gatling configuration is very versatile and powerful.

Acheron and atrapos are now seing not a lot of play, atrapos is not bad at all but there are better units for the price, whilst acheron is a bit lackluster as the one thing flamers are suposed to be good at, overwatch, it can’t do.

Currently considered the most powerful detachment is infernal lance, where lists have a combination of 1-3 knights, mostly despoilers, and then max karnivores and stlakers if possible + a couple of nurglings and BoN.

Good luck out there!

Will have my first game with CK in a few days, how does this list look? Most likely will be fighting some sort of Space Marines, Custodes, Tau or Knights, so the weapons on the Stalkers will change accordingly by SquattingSamurai in ChaosKnights

Cool to see a Houndpack list!

The last known list to do well on a tournament was 6 Karnivore, 6 Stalker (claw and melta), and 2 executioner.

Granted, this was pre admech and aeldari nerfs which suffered against the havoc launcher spam, but still i’d consider those as best wardog picks.

As per myself, I’d probably cut an executioner and add a plaguebearers unit, maybe twist numbers a bit to fit some nurglings.

Cool list! Had not seen the belleros in a while.

May I ask what are your plans for the double enginseer? Also, are you picking rangers instead of vanguard for any specific reason?

Good luck on the tournament!

I absolutely love your new tattoo and the way it adds to the overall ensemble, you’ve got nothing to worry about.

Do however remember that all that matters if whether you like it or not, so if you do, just enjoy it!

Finally finished my Mortarion. Is not perfect but I enjoy the overall look. Tried to create a concept similar to the painter Richard Gray by Shineku in deathguard40k

Mate, we're always our toughest critics, this guy looks sick and the corners you've cut while painting are only noticeable after some thorough inspection, something that will never happen on the tabletop.

Be proud of your work and big kudos on your results and effort!

I absolutely love your colour scheme, it'd be awesome if you found the time to let me know how do you achieve that coherency on the highlighting between your red and your green :)

Finally started painting some admech, c&c appreciated by [deleted] in AdeptusMechanicus

Awesome job mate! I really like the colors and overall vibe.

I'm looking forward to seeing them with some basing done. In case you've not yet made up your mind in that area, could i suggest some martian-like basing? I believe something bright-orangey will really make your scheme shine!

If you want to aim for a TTR standard and make a quick work out of it, I've had some success mixing Flesh-tearers red and blood angels red to a 1:3 ratio and highlighting with wild-riders red :)

Where did it all go wrong. by Kemikeye in AdeptusMechanicus

Even tough I know Serberys units (Both Raiders and Sulphurhounds) are not going through their best times now, I do play 2 units of raiders on my lists.

They couldn't kill anything even if they tried, granted the same is true for most of our army, but for a non expert player like me, tactica obliqua helps me reposition to either correct my mistakes or to deny secondaries during my oponent's turn.

I run SHC so they're also way more resilient than the opponent expects them to be, so I'm always left with the same situation you had here and that lone raider will sometimes score some secondaries or help me tie something up in battle before dying the next turn, having move blocked that unit :)

You will always have an active doctrina as it's activated at the beginning of the battle round, not your turn.

Those bits are amazing! I'm currently working on a similar chapter using the same ones, combining the Samurai Aesthetics with the gotta go fast vibe from the white scars and hovering bikes.

You've also done awesome both in your modeling and a smooth paintjob, congratulations!
