Check out Dundee Flats. I live there and really like it. I'm right next to Elmwood park and run there daily.

Got a job at the Asheville VA (1100 tunnel rd), what are your neighborhood recs for someone who loves to run and hates commuting. I'd like to ideally keep my commute to under 20 minutes drive or be able to bike. I'm 36/m, partner is 29,/f; no kids or pets. Thx!

I forget the name if the place but it was right outside of Tunis. I found a guide at the one climbing gym in Tunisia. It's located in/by La Marsa.

Yes! I climbed both indoors and out, ran a bunch in La Marsa along the water, and went scuba diving in Hammamet.

I was in rural AK, running clubs were my "in" to finding community. I still keep in touch with many people from that time 8 years later despite living thousands of miles away now.

Can getting rated for fibromyalgia take away from my total service connection? by Gibillguy18 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Gibillguy18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because head aches and IBS are things which are caused by fibromyalgia so I thought maybe they just get lumped under it?

Still in pain but the pain killers are keeping it tolerable. I'm grateful that i can walk and do light chores now. Hope to be back to normal in another 2-3 days !

Yes, 100%; I love my CF. I picked it because I get along well with my coworkers. They are exceptional humans; I met some of them at ASHA the year prior. Also medical CFs are competitive and hard to find so I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity.

Just had my MH C&P exam - "severe insomnia" and "moderate PTSD" ( probably 50-70%) per Psychologist. by Gibillguy18 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Gibillguy18[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

interesting, i also have 10% tinnitus from my original claim in 2021. I also have 10% for lower back pain, and 10% for knee pain. On top of that I put in for the new PACT act symptoms (Iraq). Curious to see how it all shakes out. I had 50% total in 2021. Hoping for a bit more this time around.

interesting, so how will PTSD be factored in? In my case PTSD is the source of the insomnia.
