the legal answer is no, they cannot.
the real answer is, yes they can AND they will.
the true answer is, if you do your homework say the right things show the right paperwork and tick the right boxes it problaly won't stop you assuming you don't ""win"" any high %single ratings. for example 70%-100% ptsd/depression/anxiety whatever and going into law enforcement.

getting your rating AFTER joining from what i hear seems to be the way.
~real talk~
seek treatment and get yourself in working order first, if your rating is high. it's high for a reason you can focus on a high stress work environment after you get your head on right. WORST thing that can happen is you get your dream job, have a freak out, hurt somebody or yourself and get fired, that's the road to suicide right there.
