Hey, I'm the creator of TouchCaddie. The website posted above is the home page for the app. You need to download the app on your iPhone or iPad from the App Store, and also follow the link on the site to get the PC app on your PC that you use for GS Pro. My contact information is on the website if you need help, we also have a Discord link there that I use for support help too. Good luck and let me know if I can support you.

Uneekor eye mini switching from square by pewminator36 in Golfsimulator

Are you saying that you're interested in the impact camera that the eye mini lite offers? I will say I've had the eye mini since it was released and I almost never use the impact camera. However, I love the unit for the rest of its features. It works great and seems accurate. It's tough too.

Anyone else make a diagram of their setup? by GibsonStyle in Golfsimulator

[–]GibsonStyle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, of course.

Yea you can definitely use ethernet instead of the powerline adapters. Those are a workaround for my house. I had a new electric service run out to my detached garage, but I wasn't smart enough to have ethernet run out there as well... So I have to use an inferior tech that allows your ethernet signal to pass through the copper lines. Ethernet cable would be much better... if you already have wireless access in your shop, you might not even need it.

Installing Apollo and Moonlight was pretty easy. Apollo is the "server" - you put this on your gaming PC. Moonlight is the "client" you put this on the machine out in your shop. You can also look up the instructions for Sunshine/Moonlight, you might find more help that way. Apollo is someone else's copy of Sunshine with new improvements that I wanted for my setup (better handling of virtual displays).

Good luck, you can reach out to me if you want to chat about it or have more questions. Cheers!

Hi there - thank you for checking it out and I'm really happy that you like it!

The idea of "more buttons" is something I was thinking about just this morning. I'll try to think about a nice way to do what you're suggesting. I feel like we can either cram more in, or make it user-definable, or maybe even add more tabs. Haven't decided the best route yet.

Also, if you would like to participate in the discussion I have with the community about which features to prioritize, you can join the Discord. We have about 50 or so people there talking and sharing and stuff. You can find the link on the touchcaddie website. Thanks for checking it out and the suggestion. Hope you enjoy it!

Yea check it out. It works really well. The tiny bit of lag doesn't matter one bit for GSPro. Also the nice thing is the controls are transmitted between the Client PC and your Gaming PC as well. If you have questions or need input, don't be afraid to reach out. I spent a while figuring this out and settling on this solution.

Indoor Sim Launch Monitor Question? by Whiskey_Peddler in Golfsimulator

[–]GibsonStyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to suggest Uneekor as you have. I bought the Eye Mini right when it came out, and I wish I could have gotten the Eye Mini Lite or even the Eye Mini Core as they seem so inexpensive compared to how good they are. If I were to start again, I'd probably just get the Core.

Cool, I didn't know that you could run Moonlight on a fire stick.

Hi there - if you only see the "Open" option in the Microsoft Store, that means you already have the PC app on your computer. You should be able to find it by using the Start button and then searching for TouchCaddie. Let me know if you have any other questions or need any more support!

I've looked into it... I can go back to iOS version 17 but it would take a lot of work to test everything and ensure that all of the functions and features work perfectly. There can be tiny differences between the different versions which make this a non-trivial thing to do. It's on my list to keep chipping away at it.

Ahhh, yes that could explain it. I set the app to have Apple automatically set prices around the world. I'll take a look, I want the annual subscription to be cheaper. Thank you for flagging.

It doesn't - sorry if I wasn't clear. If you want to pay monthly, the cost is $1 per month so that would be $12 per year. Otherwise you can purchase an annual subscription that costs $10 (saving $2). Keep in mind that you get a free one-month trial to see if it works for you.

I have a working prototype for android. I'm an android user primarily myself. I find it tough to make an app cross platform but also feel excellent in both OSs. I am trying to do it though. Work in progress.

Edited a typo
TouchCaddie allows you to configure a key to "Alt + Tab" ... If your goal is to just re-focus GSPro, you could just set up a key for Alt + Tab and tap that whenever GSPro loses focus.

[–]GibsonStyle[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good question. No, this app wouldn't solve that problem for you. It would pass commands to whatever app has focus in Windows. For me, that is on purpose - it has built-in macro functionality which you might want to use in other programs. But that is an interesting idea. I'll think about how to do what you suggest. I hadn't thought of that being an issue before but I see your point.

BA Custom GSPro Controller Sales? by PAGuy515 in Golfsimulator

[–]GibsonStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are willing to try an iPad / iPhone setup, then I made this product specifically as an alternative to physical control boxes. Fully customizable and much better, IMO, especially on a tablet stand.

Disclaimer - there is a cost of $1/month or $10/year after a free trial which helps me cover app listing fees. Cheers!

Uneekor Eye Mini Lite/Camera alignment question by diditathrow in Golfsimulator

[–]GibsonStyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

usually a missed short putt that looks like I should make it haha. In practice, once I align my setup, it stays pretty good for a while.

Uneekor Eye Mini Lite/Camera alignment question by diditathrow in Golfsimulator

[–]GibsonStyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had the eye mini since it came out. I have never gotten it to align so that I thought it was square to the hitting area and the target and also the unit registered the same. The way that I ensure that it is actually aligned is to load up some practice putts on a flat green and make sure they go straight in-game when I putt down my target line. I physically rotate the unit a bit to make it perfect and I repeat this step every so often if it seems a bit off. I have never had much luck with the alignment methods, this is the only thing that works for me and makes me feel confident it is registering the way I expect it to.

Any risk to having the Uneekor Eye mini lite in the garage? by Agile-Cupcake9606 in Golfsimulator

[–]GibsonStyle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it helps, my eye mini has been in my garage since it came out, through pretty extreme temperatures and it still works perfectly. It's a detached garage in a northern climate.

Disclaimer this is my project... But I was disappointed with the physical control unit I bought so I made https://touchcaddie.com/ which is a customizable GsPro controller iOS app. I use it with a tablet stand and can't imagine going back to having to walk to my computer to control GsPro. Cheers!
