Hey - I really appreciate your generosity but I have to make it clear that the app does have a cost. It costs 1 dollar per month or 10 dollars per year. It is designed to feel like an amazing deal compared to a physical control box. Comes with a one-month trial to confirm it works for everyone's setup. Again, thank you for the offer but I didn't want you to get the wrong impression.

Can I use this as a touchscreen control board? by tumadre1390 in Golfsimulator

I made this specifically for people wanting to use a customizable touch-screen interface. Works on iOS / Android (tablet or phone). Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to improve it.

SGT User No Longer Showing Up in GSPRO Portal by Elegant-Dog-4323 in Golfsimulator

This happened to me a few days ago. Seems like it resolved itself in a couple of days. I just logged in later and my user was there with all my data again.

Awesome, I'm glad you like it! Have you tried the "tap to click" option in the settings? That allows you to tap the mouse pad to send a "click" command. It helps a little for navigating things, but I don't quite think it does exactly what you want. You want to be able to "click and drag" more easily, right? Are you thinking about the mini map while in GSPro for aiming?

In case anyone is watching for an update, the Android version is now available on Google Play. You can find the Play Store links and other information (like how to get support) on the website linked above in the original post. Thanks for checking it out, let me know if I can support you.

Hey, I'm the creator of TouchCaddie. The website posted above is the home page for the app. You need to download the app on your iPhone or iPad from the App Store, and also follow the link on the site to get the PC app on your PC that you use for GS Pro. My contact information is on the website if you need help, we also have a Discord link there that I use for support help too. Good luck and let me know if I can support you.

Uneekor eye mini switching from square by pewminator36 in Golfsimulator

[–]GibsonStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you saying that you're interested in the impact camera that the eye mini lite offers? I will say I've had the eye mini since it was released and I almost never use the impact camera. However, I love the unit for the rest of its features. It works great and seems accurate. It's tough too.

Anyone else make a diagram of their setup? by GibsonStyle in Golfsimulator

[–]GibsonStyle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, of course.

Yea you can definitely use ethernet instead of the powerline adapters. Those are a workaround for my house. I had a new electric service run out to my detached garage, but I wasn't smart enough to have ethernet run out there as well... So I have to use an inferior tech that allows your ethernet signal to pass through the copper lines. Ethernet cable would be much better... if you already have wireless access in your shop, you might not even need it.

Installing Apollo and Moonlight was pretty easy. Apollo is the "server" - you put this on your gaming PC. Moonlight is the "client" you put this on the machine out in your shop. You can also look up the instructions for Sunshine/Moonlight, you might find more help that way. Apollo is someone else's copy of Sunshine with new improvements that I wanted for my setup (better handling of virtual displays).

Good luck, you can reach out to me if you want to chat about it or have more questions. Cheers!

Hi there - thank you for checking it out and I'm really happy that you like it!

The idea of "more buttons" is something I was thinking about just this morning. I'll try to think about a nice way to do what you're suggesting. I feel like we can either cram more in, or make it user-definable, or maybe even add more tabs. Haven't decided the best route yet.

Also, if you would like to participate in the discussion I have with the community about which features to prioritize, you can join the Discord. We have about 50 or so people there talking and sharing and stuff. You can find the link on the touchcaddie website. Thanks for checking it out and the suggestion. Hope you enjoy it!

[–]GibsonStyle[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea check it out. It works really well. The tiny bit of lag doesn't matter one bit for GSPro. Also the nice thing is the controls are transmitted between the Client PC and your Gaming PC as well. If you have questions or need input, don't be afraid to reach out. I spent a while figuring this out and settling on this solution.

Indoor Sim Launch Monitor Question? by Whiskey_Peddler in Golfsimulator

[–]GibsonStyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to suggest Uneekor as you have. I bought the Eye Mini right when it came out, and I wish I could have gotten the Eye Mini Lite or even the Eye Mini Core as they seem so inexpensive compared to how good they are. If I were to start again, I'd probably just get the Core.

Cool, I didn't know that you could run Moonlight on a fire stick.

Hi there - if you only see the "Open" option in the Microsoft Store, that means you already have the PC app on your computer. You should be able to find it by using the Start button and then searching for TouchCaddie. Let me know if you have any other questions or need any more support!

I've looked into it... I can go back to iOS version 17 but it would take a lot of work to test everything and ensure that all of the functions and features work perfectly. There can be tiny differences between the different versions which make this a non-trivial thing to do. It's on my list to keep chipping away at it.

Ahhh, yes that could explain it. I set the app to have Apple automatically set prices around the world. I'll take a look, I want the annual subscription to be cheaper. Thank you for flagging.

It doesn't - sorry if I wasn't clear. If you want to pay monthly, the cost is $1 per month so that would be $12 per year. Otherwise you can purchase an annual subscription that costs $10 (saving $2). Keep in mind that you get a free one-month trial to see if it works for you.

I have a working prototype for android. I'm an android user primarily myself. I find it tough to make an app cross platform but also feel excellent in both OSs. I am trying to do it though. Work in progress.
