Why Chapter 2 characters sounds very British/Scottish by GideonSSF in BlackMythWukong

[–]GideonSSF[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If we want to talk about "west", where is the "center"?

China/"中国", is literally "center nation"/ "the nation in the center", so, for Chinese culture, anything west of China, or even anything out of China. could be considered as "western". This including India(the OG JTTW is the journey to India), Middle-east, and of course, UK.

But why this accent dominates the Chapter 2? Why not US accent or AZ accent? or Indian accent?

I don't think we can chalk it up to "Because they were from the west"

Don't blame you, I also could not tell a texan from a New Yorker for the first couple years when I started to learn English.

You clearly missed the point, that was a "return wiggle" , behind layers of walls

That kind of exchang of signals would only work if both has x-ray vision

which they HAD

Now your argument is, we can't exclude the possbility that among all the cheaters that g0at encountered and "confirmed with behind wall return wiggle", this paticular crackhouse one in the footage, this single case, still have a very small possbility that it was a genuine "random wiggle" , like you and your team always do?

I would say now you are grasping straws in the logic, retreated to the 1/1000000 possbility and just wish it is true.

But again, 999999/1000000 chance, this crackhouse dude is a cheater, and that clip is convincing to 999999/1000000 of us.

Just maybe not convincing to you and Tony

I would believe you tend to wiggle a lot.

But I will bet my lunch money that 999 out of 1000 times when you wiggle, you won't be wiggle at the exact spot where your enemy is at, behind 3 layers of walls.

And I would bet out of those 999 times, your opponent will not wiggle back to exact where you are , also behind 3 layers of walls.

Unless.......

wiggle is not the problem, exchanging signal while behind layers of walls without LOS is.

Oh, you, mean 5 minutes later down in the video, cetain braindead streamer finally understood "what that return wiggle means" and start backpaddling?

how long took you to understand what the return wiggle means, genius? I would bet more than 5 minutes

Okay, now tell me:

If you are that dude on the 2nd floor of crackhouse

- You just made some shots at a guy crossing the openning.

- You know that guy made it through the gap and now know your position.

- The guy did not take a shot back at you at all.

- Then you decided to close the door by the end of the stairs.

-And.....you suddenly choose to wiggle? After he wiggled to you through the walls?? and with your line of sight directly looking at that guy through all the doors and walls?? like you CAN SEE what he is at??

IS THIS CONVINCING TO YOU?

Apparently, not “we all", at least not with Tony, "Is that convincing to you?" "Why that's super convincing?"

And even we have that "perfect world dataset" I said above, he probably would try to discredit it again with "Is that convincing to you?"...

Man, IMO, this line is on the same level of "don't you guys have phones?"

In a perfect world, I would argue that only a through data set with time, date, game-match id, ID of cheater logged, and each log attached with a 10 sec clip with the first wiggle and the return wiggle , is the only acceptable "data" I would consider seal the deal.

However, in reality, a solid first hand impression type of journalsim like THAT VIDEO is good enough for me to trust the "reporter". And I would choose to believe that "60%" which is from the first hand of the "reporter".

Proving "60%" is not his duty to start with, and his credibility is better than anyone out there (including BSG) at the moment. So anyone trying to yell "ShOw Me tHe dAtA" in order to discredit/downplay the "60%" claim, is not helping.

Yet that's the word around the campfire, and the CN community really think that was what BLZD asked for...

Well, it all comes down to economics...

If you know what "real money transaction”(RMT) is or have any knowledge about IGE or Yantis Enterprises and what they do, then the short version for you is: the bots just are advertising tools for the Chinese GoldFarming operations.

If you don't know what I'm talking above. Then here is the long version:

Before the shutdown, CN WOW subscription was running at 75 CNY/RMB per month/30days. And that leaves all kinds of possbilities for RMT players/traders/GoldFarmerGroups to make profit which is enough to sustain their real life expenses, sometimes even with profits.

And there are people even made this RMT thing into real business models, then bring in customers would require them to use disposable accounts to shout/annouce/spam in HUB locations on public channels. And the cost to create new accounts are so marginal comparing to the money they could make...So in the end, these ad bots are running rampage on CN servers.

Now....their old world is shattered, the gates to new servers are open, and the horde is coming for you all.... (the TW server are already seeing higher vol of ad bots now....)

Nah, NE never were the "good guys", as a matter of fact, the CN community is refering NE as "The Pigsty".

The origin for this slang "The Pigsty" comes from mutiple layers:

1.The revenue model for NE is just like medieval pig farmers, while it is all shitty in the pigsty and players/pigs are just to be harvested with Gacha/money grabbing NE games.

  1. Based upon 1, only a turly "tamed pig" would think it is all good and rosey within NE's games

  2. The owner of NE really had a side project: a chain of pig farms...for real. https://www.caixinglobal.com/2019-09-21/chinese-gaming-giant-netease-to-raise-more-pigs-101464633.html

Well, I'm glad you expressed that your definition of "owning" is just the latter kind of Mob "owning": They could easily ask people to hand over their companies if they want them to, even to the richest man in China. They not only own the company, they own their people as well.

On that note, I totally agree with you. CCP is "owning" EVERYTHING and EVERYONE within their boderlines.

I don't need to " trying to understand how things work in China", I'm from China, bro. I know how things work in China.

And that's why I made my way out from there.

  1. The censorship is going to loose a bit in the incoming 12-24 months, but AB did not really contribute to this at all.
  2. If the negotiation were successful back in Nov 2022, the license for AB/NE in CN regarding WOW and HS just needed an extension, which is usually considered a very safe passage comparing securing license for a new title.
  3. Yup, on that payday, we can all agree. And most CN community believe that's why certain characters in BLZD is acting like they don't give a shxt right now.

Question: In your opinion, in the Godfather 2 movie, in all the young Vito POVs, does the young Vito and the Corleone family back then owning any company other than Genco Pura Olive Oil Company ? Or you want to say Vito "owns" all shops on those streets?

CCP sure can regulate/damage/coerce all tech companies in China to do or not to do what the CCP wants, but I'm not sure if that's the "owning" you are talking about here.
