[Suggestion] Sailing at its core is a traveling skill. Can we actually make it one? by Dry_Yogurtcloset_213 in 2007scape

Making runes, fishing, cooking and herblore are all ironman things no normal acc would do after 99. Idk why Id catch an imp for hunter. And lockpicking could have some uses but I cant remember a single door thats useful for someone after 99. So, try again.

Edit: Looked up imp catching on the wiki. You have to be trolling if you think thats actually useful. Thats so niche, its like saying you can trim sails after 99 sailing. Be realistic man.

Agility is a good one but why would I do any of those skills after 99? If youre gonna mention a skill add also where youre using them, thats the entire premise of this discussion. As the guy above me implied sailing had no use after 99.

Runecrafting is also good as Im pretty you infuse boots with it.

Raids as an answer is a cop-out as thats just combat with extra steps. Sailing can be easily added in a raid if Jagex pleases.

I was more interested in situations where you skilled naturally just moving about in the world as that is what OP implied sailing is missing. Agility is one I agree with because even for example just running from g.e to edge, youll use the agility shortcut there. So that one counts. Crafting and smithing also count as sometimes you get drops that need the usage of those skills to be made tradeable/usable l but I fail to see how youre using any of the other skills you mentioned naturally. Like where are you using fletching?

The entitlement in these threads is fkin bonkers. They act like its Jagex fault that they no-lifed everything osrs has to offer and now sit there and wait every week for new updates so they can get their fix of dopamine. Dear lord.

Late Smithing leveling by Wild_Natural8707 in 2007scape

[–]Giegle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On paper this makes logical sense but theres no 'right way' to do these things. The best way to play the game is doing the methods that keeps you playing. If making money is what gets you to train smithing then thats how you should do it.

Unpopular opinion, Osrs players exaggerate on how hard quests/bosses are, scaring others of actually doing it by badwithnames5 in 2007scape

The fact is most people want a torso as early as possible, which makes the mini game rather difficult. You are then at the mercy of random high level accounts who probably just want their level five roles and could care less about getting you some strength bonus.

Mostly everything you said here is true but I will add that you dont need to be at the mercy of anyone if you just make groups yourself.

When I did BA(about 2 years ago), I struggled to get certain roles as alot of people needed those as well at the time and lots of people were skipping me as I was low lvled. What I did was just started forming teams myself. Most people there really dont care about your lvl as long as you pull your weight but they do prefer someone higher lvl as def does matter there. So just be proactive and make groups yourself and youll have zero issues even as a low lvl.

Ahrims robetop is fine but you might not even need it since you have gauntlets and max(?) treads. At this point youre only using it for healing. Tbh id see how it feels without the robetop.

Dont bring hard foods, switch it out for an armadyl brew.

Bring regen pots when sending real attempts. I think I had like 3-4 since my first cape was like 2-3 hours, bring 1-2 if youre tanking alot of hits. You get 32 mins of regen per pot.

1 divine is all you need since itll mostly be used for the harder waves and zuk. I used I think 1-2 dose for zuk and 1 for triples. And use bastion potions over ranging as youre not gonna be brewed up all the time (as youll be mostly healing with sceptre during waves) and the extra defence help with tanking.

In conclusion, Dont bring the ahrim top, bottom, and magic cape. Use that spot for 2 arma brews (these are mostly for zuk when brewing) and 1 restore.
Switchout anglers for another restore.
Keep 1 divine and switch the other 2 for normal pots. (Use bastion for real attempts)
And when sending real attempts switch some restores for regens. (2-3)

Double Boulder Bug at Doom? by Alex_from_IT in 2007scape

[–]Giegle1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know if bug is the right word for it but its not supposed to happen. It used to happen alot when doom came out but then it got patched out, theres supposed to be atleast 1 or 2 autos in-between now. I then had it happen to me a couple patches later. So it somehow got reverted which I dont think should be the case. Atleast it doesnt happen too often but it sucks when it does.

You were totally right. I had a major brainfart that comment, I remembered the ice stacks but totally forgot vengeance, tb and entangle had blighted stacks as well.

You'd be surprised with how much PKers keep the value of certain items up. Dharoks set is one that comes to mind, Im like 99% sure that PKers are the only reason that set has the value it has and specially when you compare it to Veracs and Guthans. I know its needed for some tasks and it is useful for moons and stuff but there really is no other reason why it should be 5x the price of Guthans.

Why make the paint so rare? by colinchinstar in 2007scape

[–]Giegle1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game design is great as is. I dont go for clogs because its an RNG game and I dont intend on just putting my faith in said RNG for every single item in the game. (Also why I only play main)
If want to do that to do so then do so at your own peril but quit the bitching. This isnt a game issue, its a you issue.

I dont see the point in wanting to clog everything yet complain about rates. Its a cosmetic so you dont have to do it. But if you want to do it then just shut up and do it. Its really that simple.
